"Hey Dell, thanks for writing me this sweet recommendation letter and helping me get the job in Denver!"

"No problem, just don't pursue Iggy so we can get him and we'll call it even."

I hope Dell told him to go all-in for Iggy.

Another example of how much this staff is respected. Malone, Borrego, Connelly all being pursued by other teams in recent years

The Clips and Nets were rumored to want Monty.

Malone became HC if the Kings.

    And now Tim Connelly.

Loosely paraphrasing Sean Peyton, if teams are comming after your employees, you and/or the organization are doing something right.

I wonder if they are going to follow demps style of rebuilding model and just start over. They really don't have the legitimate pieces to be a contender, even of the western conference at that. It will be interesting to see what they do.

His brother is assistant GM in Phoenix...GMs tend to make trades with people they know/like...anyone else smelling three-way deal involving Gordon?

Looks like the Nuggets are continuing the trend of hiring cheap front office staff.

They aren't rebuilding. They have Lawson, Gallinari, McGee, Faried, and Fournier to build off of. Not to mention guys like Chandler and Miller in that mix. They just came off of a franchise best 57 wins, there's no way they're blowing that up.

    Off Topic Tim Connelly/Iguodala

Obviously some of us are either very on board or want nothing to do with Iguodala but say we were after him and wanted him bad, would Demps assistant(Connelly) who is now Denver's GM effect that. Being that he has been here he may know demps approach and what nots to getting him. Just thought it would be interesting to hear people's thoughts on this.

MM orginaly pointed this out in the hiring post, but I don't think this effects the situation too too much. Denver needs to figure out its direction first, then we will have a better idea of where the team stands on Iggy.

A new regime usually means new players that fit said regime, and it's all about weather Connelly/Denver's new HC vew this roster as an acurate depiction of their vision for the franchise. If they then feel Iggy is a vital part of that vision, the they may go all out signing him. If not however, we may just get a lil itty bitty favor for a sign and trade scenario. Don't bank on it tho.
