    Breaking News Pelican draft workouts

    Chris Miles ?@mileswdsu 8m

Pelicans first draft workout will be next Friday June 14th and it is an individual...College basketball player of the year Trey Burke

It is clear what the game plan is...Saric #1 on the board PG improvement #2 and Center #3

This is the word on Alex Len "His highlight tape looks great but in games he looked stiff and am not sure he will be better than Robin"

This is the word on Burke "he isn't faster, more athletic or a better shooter than Greivis, but if he is he could give us options"

"The word"? I wonder where Miles heard that "word" from.

This makes no sense. How could he not be faster, yet has the option to be faster? I think anybody that has watched Burke can tell you he's clearly a better athlete than Vasquez, and a much better shooter.

Burke is literally faster than Vasquez, I don't know what he's getting at there. Also are those all Miles tweets? The OP couldn't have posted this more confusingly.

I am still not sure if we will go this way or not, but this is the honest truth.....

Cool. Just an fyi, if you go under "more" there is an ebbed tweet option and this forum supports it, it's pretty sweet.

Am i the only one who thinks Dell is trying to get a second pick? Im starting to believe they will try to make a deal to land both Saric and Burke.

No but for real, very interesting. I hope this guy is right, as I'd really like to get Saric.

I think he'll go pretty late if we don't take him at 6, so yeah... very much so. Who's a good option at 15-22 or so for Lopez/Vasquez?

Utah has 14 and 21 maybe vasquez for one of those. They need a PG.

He is referring to more than likely is that he doesn't play faster.

My hope is Dallas feels generous, but I think they are having a change of heart. I would do a trade if i knew saric or Steven Adams were on the board. Id like to land Burke/Saric Burke/Adams if it was possible.

I hope so. And I'd agree. But I'd say Vasquez doesn't play faster because he can't actually GO much faster. And also that could've been the pace Coach Beilien wanted.

if this is true, I think we make a trade for Dallas' pick to get Saric. They need cap space to make a play at Paul/Howard and we have cap space to offer and we also need real basketball players
    never assume

Saric #1 on the board as in we'd pick him at #6? No way.

I agree. We are intrigued... and maybe Saric fits into a grander scheme where we purchase an additional pick by taking on a veteran salary (Hi Houston and Dallas or we draft and stash because we have designs on that 2.3 million draft slot salary money.

If so that is still wrong. There were many times this season where we had a 2 on 1 or 3 on 2 FB opportunity and GV would come literally stop running and walk up the floor. Fast pace is not GV's style, and I'm not saying that is what we need in a PG I just don't get the comparisons or lack there of by Miles.
