I can't get behind that. Their bench was horrible. They got absolutely nothing from the guys riding the bench. With Granger back, Lance Stevenson is on the bench helping that unit. And with Granger back they have another scorer to go with Paul George. There is this misconception about George going on where people think he came out of nowhere this year. Last year George showed that he was on the verge of something big, Granger being out sped it up, but he was going to be who he was going to be with or without Granger (35% of the people on this board knew that). With Hill, George, Granger, West, and Hibbert that would have been enough, but I don't think we will see that potential lineup next year.

Next year with Granger (or with a better pg) the Pacers will be scary. Looking forward to what they can do.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

I still don't think George and Granger will play well together. Both will want to to get their touches and Granger tends to chuck alot of shots, even bad ones. They do need more bench help. They also need to clear Granger's salary if their gonna improve the bench. This team may have taken the Heat to 7, but they weren't gonna be much of a matchup against the Spurs in the Finals. Hibbert/West would have been neutralized by the Duncan/Splitter and the Spurs would have had a big advantage on the perimeter and the bench, with or without Granger. The truth is you're letting your personal feelings about Granger bias you when it comes to him.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

Heck with Splitter/ Duncan neutralizing Hibbert/West (which I doubt would have happened seeing as how the Indy bigs were playing amazing this series), what was going to lose them the Spurs series was George Hill (injury and inability are a horrible combo when facing Parker). Throw in Leonard on Lance...it wouldn't have been a sexy matchup, but it would have gone the distance as well.

Personal feelings for Granger? The only feeling I have is that by adding a key contributor from the prior years team would have made a big impact (in a positive way) for the pacers.

    Notes from last night game:

    - Vogel could not counter-act MIA's trap defense. Good move by Spo.
    - MIA proved that Hill is not a good enough point and the Pacers should be looking to draft Shane Larkin the minute he appears on the board. A great facilitator who can shoot and won't take away from the core.
    - Pacers bench is HORRIBLE. I mean, only way they were going to win is if West and Hibbert played all 48 minutes.

Hope the Heat aren't depending on TO's to beat the Spurs because that won't happen. Heat will have the offensive freedom they are used to but they will face that has one of the best benches in the league.

Spurs in 6 or 7. Spurs might not have the enforcer in the paint to stop the driving but they have the savvyness and knowledge to contain them.

Miami has one of the softest frontlines in the league. No comparison to Duncan/Splitter who are big and both very skilled. They manhandled Gasol/Randolph which is a better frontcourt tandem compared to Hibbert/West and the Grizzlies have a very good PG to give them the ball. Splitter would easily shut down West as he did to Randolph and Duncan would outplay Hibbert as he did to Gasol. Also, Leonard is the Spurs best perimeter defender. He would be matched up on George. Add in the big advantage of Parker at the point and a bigger advantage for the Spurs bench, that series would be over in 4 or 5. Indiana got exposed in Game 7 last night. When the Heat turned up the intensity, the Pacers got blown out. That game wasn't even competitive last night.

Granger would help, but 14 million is better spent elsewhere especially since he plays the same position as George. Plus he's not nearly the same player he was 4-5 years ago.

    Key moment of the game:

When Lebron stepped out to Guard Toney Parker.. Everybody wanted to See what happens when you put LeBron on parker to slow him down... Until they realize Pop doesn't allow one on one play.. The screen was coming naturally.. LeBron got Caught and didn't hedge knowing Parker wasn't looking for the 3.. He switched to Duncan and Left Bosh in no mans land to guard Parker on the Perimeter.. Bad Move.. the only thing that messed Parker up was Ginobli didn't head to the corner to keep Wade away. Did'nt Matter. Parker Possess the Clutch Gene LeBron will never have.
