Well at least we won't have to wait 9 days for the finals to start.

Yeah that was a little premature. Its still advantage Miami though. Game 5 will give us an indication of how the series will end.

Have they ever fined the king for flopping?

  6. #1156
When I think Pacers I think Reggie and Rik Smits, after that I think Detleph Shrimp and Sam Perkins.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

Game 5 in Miami. I think it is possible for this to go 7.

I'm counting on it. Should be fun to see a fresh Spurs team play either team. I imagine the title is SA's to lose.

Ugh I can't believe what I heard on my way home tonight. There was a radio DJ on 102.9 or maybe Q93 talking about, "shout out to all our Heat fans, let's get this win tonight." I thought I misheard him, but then he kept talking about the Heat using "we" and "us", as if he was deejaying in Miami.

Pelicans fans should be cheering for the Heat.

First, why not? Heat, Spurs, and Pacers are all in bottom half in terms of market. And Lebron is unarguably the best player in the world. I, personally, want to watch him play as often as I can. I'd much rather watch Heat/Spurs, as opposed to Pacers/Spurs. This doesn't make me a Heat fan, this just makes me a basketball fan! If the Pelicans were in the playoffs, I'd be hoping for a 7 game series decided at the buzzer in favor of the Pelicans over the Heat!

Second... I want there to be desperate teams in the East. Not optimistic ones. I want Bulls, Pacers, 76ers, etc to all be so desperate at they convince themselves they have to gamble on Eric Gordon. If the Heat are beatable, those teams are less desperate.n

I'm still going to root for the Pacers. Granger and DJ are local kids.

I don't know if this was directed at me. If so, what makes you think the guy was a Pelicans fan at all? To me, he sounded like a straight up Heat fan, which I don't have a problem with. But the way he talked was like he assumed New Orleans was Heat City...like all his radio listeners in the New Orleans area should be Heat fans...like we didn't have our own basketball team.

I just never witnessed anything like that during the NFL season. Sure I've heard DJs rooting for teams like when the 49ers played the Falcons and a lot of people wanted the 49ers to win. But I never heard them say something like "Us 49ers fans bout to pull this off" or "49er fans let's get this" as if this is San Francisco. The Who Dats would've blew the phone lines up at that radio station.

    It wasn't.

But I still believe we should be hoping the Heat win.

I'm a Pel fan before I'm anything else NBA related. And I don't care about an entertaining Finals. That's ESPN/TNT thinking.

I want the Heat to burn. The fallout will be even more entertaining.

I'm tired of the usual suspects winning. I'm rooting for the Pacers.

By your logic there is just as much reason to root for the Pacers. They are a small market and if teams in the east see another strong team they know they will have to build up a roster to keep up with the other teams. As far as Lebron, I don't give a crap about him being the best player. This isn't about one player, it's about a team. People forget that with the NBA, it is still a team sport.

Exactly. Pacers are much more relatable as a Pelicans fan than the Heat are. And I find watching George/Hibbert more entertaining than Lebron's game vs. the Pacers.

In no way will I ever root for the Heat.
    Wherehappens.

I root for the Pacers because of D. West. I hope he can get a ring.

Apparently you were not at the Hornets vs Heat game this past season.
If you were you should understand why i can not and will not ever root for the Heat.
Go ahead jump on the bandwagon. I'll be the one rubberneckin' when it crashes.

btw: i was rooting for Grizz/Pacers Finals... THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT if you ask me. To me its the difference between liking good basketball TEAMS vs liking good basketball PLAYERS.
Pacers are a better TEAM imo.

Interesting, Birdman was not ejected. Hansboraugh should have fell down.

Same exact thing, only Hansbrough isn't LeBron, so he didn't flop like a lil' wimp.
