There is increasing chatter among NBA executives that the Thunder -- who have two first-round picks and young talent in Jeremy Lamb and Perry Jones -- will look to make a major move on draft night. If they keep this pick, Saric, a smooth, mobile big man one executive describes as "the best passing big man in the draft," is a nice find. Saric isn't the bruising post-up scorer Oklahoma City craves, but he is exactly the kind of high-potential talent GM Sam Presti loves to develop.

If there is a player they love... Say Len or Bennett... they'd probably do this trade. Or if not this trade exactly, maybe Lamb (or PJIII) and 12.

I'd do it for Lamb and 12 if I'm Pelicans. Not sure about PJIII.

Okay HornetGuru, your trade ideas are fun to read and I enjoy them because you seem to put a bit of effort into them. But ya gotta stop thinking that the Pelicans are going to trade for DeMarcus Cousins. It's simply not going to happen, he's too much of a knucklehead. And NOLA is too close to his hometown of Mobile not to be influenced by his homeboys. Now maybe in three, four or five years when he's matured some there may be a chance of it, but I don't see Sacramento wanting to trade him unless he becomes more of a knucklehead in which case I wouldn't want him anyway.

I'll put it to you this way, if the Pelicans trade for Cousins anytime in the next three years, I'll buy you a meal in the New Orleans restaurant of your choice. How about it?
