Pick 2
Im just asking what other people opinions are who says no Pick 2 from Orlando to the PELICANS for pick 6 and Gordon.
I love it as PELICANS fan because we get a chance @ Porter or McLemore for the future
I would love it as a Magic fan because it gives me a chance @ a Franchise player in Gordon and and there will still be some talent left @ pick 6
I put PELICANS in capitals because i keep writing Hornets. Sorry if this has been done to death already

No. We still have a chance at Porter or Burke at 6. Gordon is worth more than that, even to the biggest Gordon haters.

I'd trade Gordon for lottery pick next year with a good heart. But no one else, barring the stupid, would accept that.
It does free up a whole lot of capspace for free agents though. You could throw money at Iggy and Pekovic. Hell even Dwight.
I don't want to trade Gordon at all, but certainly not for the second pick in this draft.
I'd give Gordon to Orlando and take the mulligan. I'd rather take the cap savings and overpay (if i have to) someone who i can rely on for 82 games.
Unreliability and $14 million don't mix.
If they threw in Afflalo or Harrington I'd do this trade and not think twice about it.

It it were a guaranteed top 5 pick then absolutely yes, other wise no.
How about....
Magic get:
Eric Gordon and 6th pick (Trey Burke)
Pelicans get:
2nd pick (Ben McLemore) and Maurice Harkless
We could then throw the max at C Al Jefferson, trade Vasquez and Lopez for Brandon Jennings (sign at max), and finally sign Chase Budinger or Corey Brewer (3-5 million a year). Also we can resign Roger Mason for around the vet minimum for his veteran bench presence.
Projected Pelicans lineup:
PG:Jennings/Roberts
SG:McLemore/Rivers/Mason
SF:Budinger/Harkless/Miller
PF: Davis/Anderson/Thomas
C: Jefferson/Smith
Pipe dream I know, but that would be a lineup that could eventually be better than OKC.

I'd do #6 and Vasquez for #2. They get a PG which they need, and they can grab a real good player at #6. We get either Porter or McLemore. Then, trade Lopez and change to LAC for Bledsoe.
I'd do Gordon and 6 for the #2 pick and either harkless or tobias harris
If they say no i'd throw in vasques, try and sign jeff teague or jennings, basically what dark horse said, nice trade dark horse i like it, i'd take either mclemore or oladipo with the pick

I like nolaslim and dark horse trade scenarios. I just really wanna see Gordon play this next year. Now that we finally have him 100% healthy and a full off season with the team playing. I think many ppl will be surprised. We haven't seen Gordon's best except for the 9 games Pre injury. I think many of you have forgotten how good this dude really is.

Honestly It makes more sense for Orlando to just draft McElmore. You have Gordon for 2 seasons guaranteed at a extremely high price tag or you get Ben Mc for 5years on the cheap and the option to match any deal if he doesn't sign an extension.
Why are people so gun hoe at throwing max contracts at guys who aren't max players. I never want to give Jennings, Iguodala, or Pekovic a max deal.
while i dont think jennings is worth the max he is still only 23 and his only knock is his inefficient chucking style but in the last month of the season he finally changed his game and did a much better job, plus being 23 averaging 20-6-4 is impressive, put oladipo next to him who is extremely efficient could maybe help. being so young if he improves and has talent around him i can see him being a 20-8-4 type of player which is worth a max contract since he is super quick and is a good perimeter defender when he wants to be.

And one reason why I think that the Magic are going to draft him even with Affalo. Which leaves PHX as the team that could make me really madThough if that means Dipo drops to us, so be it that would be great.

but the thing is, we have to make the offer first, meaning the bucks just have to beat our offer. Also if the magic just take mclemore, then thats all they get, if they do the trade, they get gordon and the 6th pick, meaning maybe trey burke, would u rather mclemore, or gordon and burke? thats a no brainer.
You think it'll just be us vs. the Bucks?
