Thread: Pelicans actively trying to secure naming rights to the Arena

Entergy would be good in that maybe they would pony up to change the 70s urinal tile and paint it RED. (Classy shades, not solid Entergy red lol)

The outside will likely not change.

Entergy may have resisted Dome naming rights, but it shows that they would in fact be interested in theory. Given that the Arena rights are cheaper than the Dome's (adjusted for inflation if you want to compare through time), maybe it's a difference-maker.

they have been approached every time this has come up, as they are for nearly every heavy-hitter sponsorship opportunity in ever single industry in the state

the fact that their peers (chesapeake, etc) have taken the plunge might make this time different
its a lot of money...with uncertain and sometimes unquantifiable return
Chesapeake is not Entergy, but I get your point. Just seems to me a global brand would bring more dollars to the table. It would be like having the Bryan Chevrolet Superdome as opposed to Mercedes-Benz. Especially with a Super Bowl, Final Four and Regional NCAA events slated for the future.
