Is it to remove the lead ?

I'm surprised he has any ankles left after getting them broken so often.
Will the surgery make him quicker?

In theory if it works it will make him quicker than at the end of the season. If you remember in December when he got POW and got his triple double he was slightly (I I really mean slightly) faster than what he was in the last two months of the season when he had constant ankle pain.
If that was him towards the end if the season on two bad wheels, I would love to see Gordon with heart.
