Thread: What is your best case and worst case scenario picks at 6?

What is your best case and worst case scenario picks at 6?

At six, who would you feel is a slam dunk, that you would be 100 percent satisfied taking? Yes, include players you think might go higher but drop. Flipside, who do you see as worst case, the player you have no interest in seeing the Pelicans draft.

JC I can't wait till the draft so we can move from over-analysis on who we may pick to who we did pick.

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

My best case is that one of what I project to be the top 5 drops. That list in order for me is:

    1. Porter
    2. Oladipo
    3. McLemore
    4. Noel
    5. Burke

My worst case scenario is that we draft Muhammad.

Best case scenario is Porter or Burke fall to us. Worst case scenario is Bazz or Zeller. And honestly I won't be too disappointed with any of these guys.

Best case Porter. Worst case Len. Or any of this Euro garbage. I actually am started to become intrigued by Zeller . I think it's pretty black and white though.

"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."

    Best case: Burke

Worst case: Len I guess? But I'd even get behind the positives on that. Same for Bennett.

Saric I'd have a hard time with, I want to be able to see production from #6 pick and he'd take a frustrating amount of time I think.

Be content with anyone but Bazz. Just don't see it. Rather take another PF.

    Best: Burke or Porter

    Worst: None.

There is simply no worst option unless we trade it for a declining veteran.

While there isn't a true top choice in this draft... it is full of players who can be very solid studs in this league for years to come. If I had to pic one person, if we stayed at 6... I'd say Saric.

    Best: Otto Porter
    Worst: Len

Don't know enough about Saric to have him as the worst. Len is 7'1 and a decent, but not freak, athlete with little else to recommend in his game. These guys wash out very often.

Best case is Oladipo or Burke, I can't see Porter falling out of the top 3, heck I wouldnt even rule him out of the #1 spot.

Worst case I'd say Saric/Len, and not because these are bad players, I just cannot see anyone in the top 5 taking them. Saric has upside, is only 19, and can score the basketball. His size at the 3 would be a nice mismatch to have. Len has good size that would be nice to pair with AD.

    Burke, Dipo, McCollum.

6th seed isn't bad in this draft.

Best Case Porter/Burke falling. Worst case picking Bennett. I just don't see where he'd get minutes. If he gets picked by the Pelicans he'll end up being Derrick Williams 2.0

They will dude. Bennett or Len is going to crack the top 5 and one of them will slide to 6.

Best case is Burke is still there. Worst case is Zeller. At least Saric & Len have huge upsides

I love the people saying Bennett, who really should be a top 4 pick. He doesn't fit a need here, but he's one of the better players in this draft.

Worst case would be a guy like Zeller or Saric for sure.

    I agree. Best case Porter.

I'm ok with any of the top 6-8 players me mentioned.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

There is a 0% chance this pick is blown.

Will we all agree. No. But I think reasonable minds agree that we can legitimately go a couple different ways with this pick.. That's direct result of how starved this roster is for talent.

ETA: Sorry didn't answer the question fully. In my dream world, Otto Porter falls to #6. Worst case, there isn't one because of how I feel above. At six we just aren't low enough to NOT get a talented player who also fills a need. Anybody who falls works... even Noel...

The problem is they are both hurt and won't be able to work out which hurts their case to help impress teams.
