The question is his willingness to improve on the defensive side. Davis is a poor post defender, and Anderson isn't great either we can't afford to have 3 bigs that struggle to defend the post.
If his physical attributes make it difficult him to guard the 4, then how is he supposed to guard the 5? He has a unique offensive set, but he's the anti-Aminu defensively. Where Aminu is quick enough to guard the 3 and long and athletic enough to guard the 4, Bennett is too slow to guard the 3 and too small to guard the 4. He could develop though so it's all speculation at this point.

Bennett isn't to small to guard 4's or 5's he's just not effective at it. My guess would be will and conditioning. He has a 7'2 wing span so only being 6'8 isn't a huge problem and he has the body to deal with the banging(if he can remain healthy).

Bennett dribble drives and can create his own shot with no problem. He is a beast at that. He has super handles for a big man. Oh. Oh I can't wait for this kid to grow and prove so many doubters wrong. This kid is only 18 rt now lol. Please let's wait on saying what he CAN'T do. Considering all that he CAN do. I wouldn't doubt he can learn and become effective at what he lacks at. This kid has the so much potential. Highest ceiling in this draft by far. He can guard and play the 3 and the 4.

Ah, he's 20 years old now. And he doesn't guard anyone so no, he can't guard the 3 right now. Does he have potential to? Sure. He has alot of potential especially offensively, but he needs to put more work defensively.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

When all said and done I think Anthony Bennett will be the best player out of this draft class.

Wow..I stand corrected. My bad. It's Noel that just turned 19. Still his handles and driving skill is not a weakness and is actually a strong suit for him. He doesn't lack in that dept.

Hopefully he goes #3 to Washington. If Porter falls beyond #3, he could fall like Barnes did last year since the Bobcats & Suns have much bigger needs than SF.

Interesting. Six of the seven top mock drafts, post-combine, have Bennett going in the top-five picks (one, ESPN, has him falling to the Pistons at the 8th pick). If this consensus is accurate it means either Burke or Porter will fall to the Pels. Five of the seven mocks have us taking Burke. The two that don't have us taking Alex Len.
