Thats exactly what the truth is. They both have stated once he became a big boy and playing hs ball. He did not try to be a coach to his son. He let the coaches do their job and he did his job. DAD.

we really need to try and trade our pick to atlanta for their 2 picks and take either saric or giannis with the first and steven adams with the 2nd.

Idk about that. I think guys are ready to jump ship too quick just cause we didn't land top 3. If Bennett, Burke, oladipo or porter are available then we need to pick. IMO. I might be willing to throw in zeller too after seeing his combine. A legit 7 footer next to Davis that can run stride for stride with him is a pleasant welcoming.

well i meant under the assumption that noel, mclemore, oladipo, burke, porter are gone, if thats the case i would want to trade it, if one of them are their like oladipo i would run to the podium and draft him

Are you a DAD? That's my point, he does not have to be a coach to him. I am a Dad and I help my son in all the sports he plays with corrects or suggestions to changes in his mechanics if he is not doing something right. My point is (in response to the comment above that Doc did not want to be his coach) that I would not think a Dad with the expertise that a former player would have, would ignore poor mechanics just because he does not want to be his coach. Yet Austin has terrible mechanics on his shot and FT shooting.

I'm not fired up about Burke. If we draft him I'll be all in but I think he would have the most value trade wise. Detroit and Utah I think would want to go up and get him if he falls to us. The Jazz have 2 picks and Detroit doesn't have much to offer beyond their 1 pick.

I haven't watched Caldwell Pope but I like the fact that everyone knew he was the man and they still couldn't stop him and I think he could be tall enough to play spot SF minutes(6'6 or 6'5 depending where you read). The problem trading with the Jazz is Saric and Pope will probably not be there.

We don't really know if Doc has ever told Austin anything about his mechanics. Sometimes we tell our kids one thing and they still think their way is better ((shrugs)). Some kids are either stubborn, or 'hard headed'. We don't know if Doc has ever tried to give Austin advice on his shooting.

Then Monty better be right about Rivers. Cause his job depends on it if they pass a Burke on the hope of the light coming on with Rivers.

    I would trade pick 6 for utah's 14 and 21.

Yes I'm a DAD. I get what your saying. I think your thinking it's as easy as dad "son your shooting form is wrong" son " why dad?" dad "see son I was a pro and now a coach this is how u should shoot" son "ok dad thanks"....all fixed now....NO...it takes time to coach it throughout the years in which he didn't do.

I'm already tired of people making Noel out to be an elite defensive prospect.

he is an elite defensive "prospect" being the key word, he has all the tools to be a shutdown defender, he is like anthony davis but more athletic and better on ball defense and almost just as good of a blocker.

Davis has his struggles and he's 220lbs. Noel is smaller still. Dude has the build of someone who really should be a SF or a stretch PF and NONE of the skills. I'm legitimately worried about him...

He really isn't, watch him play. For example, he can block shots and get steals. But guess what? He's also a poor post defender and a average rebounder. And it doesn't have everything to do with him needing to get stronger, he just doesn't understand placement and such.
