If we go with a PF, I'm leaning on Zeller more then Bennett. Neither will defend. Bennett's a better rebounder but I think Zeller will be more productive overall. Too many skills offensively and not a stiff either.

I wouldn't draft for need at all unless someone like a Porter or Burke dropped.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

I'd rather move the pick, 6 for Bledsoe.

Zeller has to have a face up game or he won't last.

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

    That's not a bad idea.

I would do Vasquez and #6 for Bledsoe and #25, in a heart beat really. I think people talk about how Anthony Davis wasn't the defensive player they were expecting this past season, but in my opinion he will never be that defender we thought we were getting with a guy like Vasquez at PG. If we want to get the full potential out of him, we need good perimeter defense.

I also think you could sell the Clippers on putting a guy like Len next to Griffin.

It takes two to do a deal. Why would the Clippers make that trade?

Draft a center that has at least some offensive game in Zeller or Len.

Disagree here. I think the 25th pick won't yield anything better than Vasquez. I'd go as far as offering the pick for Bledsoe but will not include Vasquez in the deal. If we deal Vasquez, I'd rather them do a separate deal for a young veteran. Either that or keep him and find a role for him.

And that's why he won't be a PF. I don't get people putting him there... he doesn't have the skillset.
    Wherehappens.

Bc they lose Bledsoe next year for nothing. They can draft deandre Jordan's replacement. Or can draft a prospect. Rookie contracts are very, very valuable.

About 10x more valuable than they were during the last CBA.

Well that depends. How highly does the team think of Rivers? If they think highly of him, which I believe they do, and if we can trade for Bledsoe, sign Jennings, or anything like that then Greivis' future with this team is in question.

If we could get a Jeff Withey, Lucas Nogueira, Tony Snell, Reggie Bullock, Allan Crabbe, Glen Rice Jr, Tim Hardaway Jr, Archie Goodwin, etc at 25 I would absolutely do it.

They are in a win now mode and Bledsoe is a relatively hot trade chip. I think they can do better than that deal (maybe getting another team to take a contract with him as well).

I think u guys are really selling Bennett short. I'd be ecstatic if we can get him. Like I've said before. We draft him to take Rynos role and trade Ryno for some nice pieces. Bennett can do everything Ryno can do but better at rebounding and scoring down low. He can drive off the dribble and create his own shot. He can knock down the 3 but needs to learn better shot selection when shooting them but he def is a threat from the 3. This kid will wind up being the best player from this draft. Mark my words. He's only 18 also. He can play the 3 and slide over to the 4 when we have Davis at the 5 in certain line ups. There is no doubt in my mind this kid can play the 3. I think we could def do some kind of deal with Ryno to acquire Bledsoe. Also think its a lot more realistic than gv/Lopez also. I honestly would like to keep Vasquez for now to be our #2 pg. think he'd be the best #2 pg in the league. Also wouldn't mind keeping Lopez for another season considering his contract.

    Dream Scenario:

    1. Cleveland: Otto Porter
    2. Orlando: Ben Mclemore
    3. Wash: Noel
    4: Charlotte: Oladipo
5: Phoenix (trades for Eric Gordon) Burke
    6: New Orleans: Shabazz/ Len

Washington and Cleveland can be flipped. Point being is that Phoenix misses out on both SG and trades the pick for Gordon.

    Gordon can't be traded.

With a three team trade he can. And he can effectively be traded by saying you are waiting until the no trade deadline passes.

They're in win now mode if they resign Paul. Regardless, a rookie contract is still beneficial to them. Not many teams are going to give up a top 10 pick and take on salary and give up talent. They'll be looking to stay under the cap and with this move they get a talented player playing for a reasonable contract for 4 years. Long term viability.

I might be wrong but i think his veto clause was only in effect during the season.

You don't think he want's to go to Phoenix?

  24. #74
I honestly seeing us with porter or Bennett. I think the wizards grab 1 or the other. With us taking the other one.
    1.cleveland-Noel
    2.orlando-Burke
    3.washington-Bennett/porter
    4.charlotte-oladipo
    5.phoenix-mclemore
    6.new Orleans- Bennett/porter

His consent is not needed. Phoenix could draft the player the Pelicans want and trade him to the Pelicans for Gordon a week or so later (when the 1 year anniversary date expires). It is simple and common.
