Trade down with a team with 2 picks. Grab Pope and Saric if that's their flavor.

depends who is available. if dipo, burke, or porter are available, we're drafting. if not, we're trading

Just don't draft Saric take Bazz or Len.

  13. #13
Trade it for a vet, maybe a vet who is coming up on a contract in a year or two, who's original team can't afford to re-up their contract.

Supposedly he has a major attitude problem, doesn't defend, and that's combined with the fact that he is playing against Euros instead of elite competition. I haven't read much on him, and I don't think he'll be the pick.

Would you take on Marion and/or Vince Carter for a year for the Mavs 13th?

    Per Dell Demps

"We're still excited,'' Pelicans General Manager Dell Demps said. "We still think it's an opportunity. We're excited about an opportunity to bring in another young player in to add to our young core. We still think today for the Pelicans, our future is bright.

"Like Damian Lillard (this season's NBA Rookie of the Year), there have been quality players available at No. 6 in the past. We feel it's a great position to be in. We've been going through our process, studying these guys all year. Today, you start tracking these guys at 15, 16, 17 years old. So you know these guys a long time.''

Yeah, next years lottery should be full of enough talent to make that dumpster fire bearable.

I read the opposite about his attitude, that he's supposed to be an extremely hard worker. He's interesting as a prospect ... would give us two guard-converts to big men. Not sure how many teams have ever had that.

Len + 23 million CAP gets you 1 or 2 immediate impact players ! Monty will not take Burke unless they move GV>> Monty is hell bent on Rivers playing point . If they sign Burke, Rivers is fodder . Get a #5 in Len and 2 wings in FA and/or trade . Ideally, get rid of Gordons contract (wishful thinking), gives you about 35 mill in cap space. Sign Mayo or the likes of for 10-11 mill . Parsons, I believe is a FA> He would be a great fit at #3 . Budinger, Maybe ! I wish I had a certainty on Blatche's maturity level, because if he has actually matured, he could be your starting center (VERY TALENTED), then naturally, Len would be nixed ! I beleive the Pels are in a great position (except for Gordon) ! We'll see .

I really would think twice about trading this lottery pick. You cannot under estimate how valuable a solid starter on a rookie contract is to a team.

Similar to Porter? I have read the opposite. I have read that he cannot defend the 3 because of his lack of lateral quickness and that he has no shot. I am at a loss as to why some people are so high on him (just based on reading information available as I have not seen him play). Supposedly he has a great basketball IQ and good handles, but no shot or defense. Some have suggested he has to add weight and move to the 4.

IMO the #6 will not be as attractive a trade chip, 5 yes, 6 no.. However, in my wishful state of thinking, I'd have the Pelicans entice the Timberwolves to send us their 9th and 26th picks for the 6th. (presumably to select the best center not named Noel)

It's likely that one of Muhammad or McCollum will be there at #9 , either of which would be great value at 9.
at 26 there will be some interesting europens's available. F Segey Karasev, PG Dennis Schroeder perhaps Brizilian C Lucas Noguiera.

Realistically, just stay at #6 and take the best player avalible.
