Not too surprising. I wonder who they bring in to replace him.

    Byron Scott step right up.

SVG said he won't be coaching this year. I can See Byron Scott and Brian Shaw in the runnning. I doubt they get Phil, Jerry Sloan, or JVG.

I wonder how much interest Phil has in the Clippers.

What a crazy story that would be...

"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."

I think it can only positively affect his chances of staying. He may be picking the coach, for all we know.

I guess so. What was he and Byron's relationship like again?

Mike Malone, Byron Scott, and Lionel Hollins all potential candidates.

Despite considerable success and progress in his two seasons as coach, Del Negro was unable to withstand a first-round Western Conference loss to the Memphis Grizzlies and a free agent-to-be superstar, Chris Paul, who wanted a different coach, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. Del Negro did not have a contract beyond this season.

Del Negro was informed of the decision on Tuesday afternoon.

Lionel Hollins, the HC of the team that's in the WCF?

He is a free agent once Memphis gets eliminated. Memphis has yet to offer him extension.

Yes, the Lionel Hollins that the Grizzlies haven't yet offered a contract extention to. Don't be surprised to see him out of there if the Grizz don't win it all.

I can't see any possibility where they don't extend him. Especially after this run.

They should have done it already. If anything it is an insult. I'd look elsewhere too. Test the market.

If CP3 stays, this should free up Bledsoe for trade possibilities. I hope they get a coach CP3 wants to sway him to stay. All this can work in our favor.

This also may play a roll in who we draft. If Bledsoe becomes a strong possibility, we may not need Burke.

I agree, but look at their VP of operations lol

I still think they will keep him, they'd be dumb not to.

For various reasons that are too controversial to get in to.. I can guarantee no established coach will ever work for Donald Sterling.

C'mon Clippers! We have been down this road. After they fired Byron Scott, we spent 2 years signing everyone that CP3 wanted us to sign, and he still left.

But you forgot that our incompetent management dismantled the most promising team we ever had when all were still in their prime.

Also remember who CPME's agent is and the other player he represents!
