Most of the threads up to today where about who do you want to pick and why they would be better for us than this person. I thought we should change it up. Let's assume the Pelicans will be picking no later than 7. Who out of these projected top 10 players would you be MOST UPSET with if drafted? (Try and keep it to 1 or 2 players, remember MOST upset)
Nerlens Noel
Trey Burke
Ben McLemore
Otto Porter
Cody Zeller
Alex Len
Anthony Bennett
Victor Oladipo
Shabazz Muhammad

Anthoy Bennett and Cody Zeller. They are both power forward and that is our best and deepest position.

Len and Noel are the only ones I'd be against. Not angry, just not optimistic at all. Zeller and Bennett concern me in how I wonder if they can translate their college success to the next level.
I'm confident in Burke, Porter, and Oladipo will become solid to All-Star level players. I'm less confident but hopeful for McLemore and Shabazz for one reason or another, but would not mind at all if we took a flyer on them because they have good potential.
Which ever one that doesn't get us Trey Burke.

Best Idea:
Go in expecting the 8th pick and you'll be pleased. Last year, I was expecting 7 and 13...

O and sorry I have to clarify, I obviously am not saying we will find out who we will pick tonight. Just the order in which we do.
I'd be disappointed in having pick 2,3,5,6,7,8.
Number 1 or nothing at all.

I'm pretty confident in the FO's ability to evaluate players. The guy we end up drafting will be the right choice
I'm literally knocking on wood as a type this, but the Hornets* seem to always trend up in the lottery. If they don't tonight I blame it entirely on the Bobcats now calling themselves the Hornets. They took our mojo.
Anything out of the desired Top 5 or 6. Meaning Noel, McLemore, Burke, Oladipo, Porter, Muhammed. Anything out of that crop would disappoint me and I'm even on the fence about Shabazz. If we are out of the top 5 range in terms of picks, I hope Dell has a deal in place to trade the pick if it's 6 or below.

Oh, I knew what you meant. But I phrased my post that way all the same because they go hand in hand.
If we wind up picking 7th, odds are we're winding up with someone like Len or Zeller or anyone else I don't want.
Len. Bennett is at least going to be a legit NBA talent even though we would be able to build a house with the log jam at PF.

I knew that as well.
We had the 2nd highest odds in 2005 but got stuck picking 4th... which landed us CP3. I'm not too worried about there being any type of mojo lol
Bennett... I'm warming up on the idea of Len if Burke & Porter are gone
Bennett because we already have Davis. Len and Zeller because they seem like ho-hum picks.
