Without the attacking ability of Westbrook or Harden, OKC can't overcome the tough Memphis D with Durant alone.

They should make the Finals, but you'll probably think again about losing the size, athleticism, and defense Gay brought when LeBron takes Prince, Q-Pon, and Allen to task.

Only thing really wrong with Gay was that they were forced to give him a max deal when he was really a 2nd fiddle player.

    Memphis advances!

Memphis is going to beat Miami (if it comes to it).
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

God, I hope they do. Memphis does have a huge advantage in the post. Chris Bosh will get abused by Z-Bo. And there's no answer for Gasol either.

    Though he might like that.

And then David Stern retires(Months early).

Miami has to get passed Indiana first.... that is a resilient team

And i feel bad for Durant, its impossible to do that type of thing alone
    New Orleans Pelicans-Seattle Seahawks-Atlanta Braves-Anaheim Ducks

Gay also made their offense even worse. Whether that was through his own doing or the coaches, I dunno. Their offense works better when they run it through Conley and Gasol than it did through Gay. Still not a top flight offense, though.

The defense Memphis plays should work as good as any against LeBron. Their perimeter defenders are good at forcing the ball-handler into the mass of bodies and limbs that is the Grizzly paint defense. The struggle will be to make his perimeter shots difficult and not let James just blow-by (preventing the help defense from having enough time to react).

My dream of Grizz vs Pacers finals is coming to fruition.
I've said it since 1st round they are the 2 best defensive teams in the playoffs. Should make for a really enjoyable finals match up.
    Make it happen.

Not to mention it would make NBA lead officials cry in their oatmeal. The ratings would be loooooooooooow.

Who would want to watch memphis vs indiana? That sh*t would suck. Also the pacers will not beat miami...paul george will not be nearly as effective against bron as he was melo. Same book different cover. Now if memphis makes it to the finals they have a legit shot...but the pacers are too flawed in my opinion.

Me too. I love the way they play. Two offensively challenged teams with big, physical defenses? Damn right, man. That'd be awesome.

I was almost sure that the Memphis would make it to Conf.Finals against a Westbrook's less OKC. They play so compact on both sides of the court, they are too powerful inside of the paint with Marc and Randolph, which is really tough to overcome for the opponents. All the offensive strategy runs through them.
And their shooters (not very good from there) are hitting it pretty nicely. Conley is a very inteligent PG who distributes the ball very well, has good shot and good d.

I also want a Pacers-Memphis on the Finals to be honest. Although I would not mind Spurs or Warriors.

    And... {Mod Edit}**** Miami.

    **** Miami!

The S.A. vs G.S. game is on ESPN. Strange TNT does not have a doubleheader tonight

Curry retweeks his ankle but is playing or as Van Gundy put it, not "moaning and groaning"

My God. His ankles are weaker than Megara. If there's ever a psycho machete killer and Curry runs into the woods, he may as well just cut his own throat.

I like Splitter. I always did.

    Thompson needs to step up.

I didn't seem so bad when it happened. But it's looking serious now. Let's hope for the best.
