Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, entrepreneur extraordinaire, appears to know that well. Cuban is looking to redesign his team’s jerseys for the 2015-2016 season, and he is turning to the masses for some help. Cuban put up a blog post saying the team will go with a new look if it gets “a unique and original design.” His method is to ask anyone and everyone to jump into the process of deciding on the new design and colors. “You know what an NBA uniform looks like,” he writes. “You know what the Mavs colors are for today and the past. We want some new ideas that stay true to our logo and at least close to our current color schemes. Show us what you got!” Next, however, Cuban warns that any designs posted on the site will be immediately owned by the Mavs, with which he included these punctuation- and grammar-challenged (and space bar-challenged, for that matter) thoughts: “If you think its horrible that the Mavs own your design. Do not post. If you think its cool that the Mavs could possible use your design and you will have eternal bragging rights , then post away. If we really like your design and you , I may even throw in some tickets

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't still somewhere in my soul a bit bummed that I didn't make the cut to brand our own team. I guess it's ok that it came from a person nearby in Miss. but I mean, it could have still been left to locals.

And as far as this, I'm not looking to gain notoriety from it. Who knows what will happen with those designs or if the league will even let Cuban get away with that although he's like the Jerry Jones of the NBA and money talks. It's just that it won't be talking for anybody that has their design lifted by the Mavs.

But I'm willing to put something out there just to express my talents. I have submissions for Charlotte once they rebrand back to the Hornets and I still have my ideas for the Pelicans that I'm trying to push. My allegiance will forever and always be for my home team, but I will not slack one bit if it means that ANY team picks my design to be their identity!

And if tickets are the prize, hopefully they are floor seats (likely not) and I can at least sell them to make some money!

I have a hunch that Cuban is going to make it worth the while for whoever gets their design picked. I really don't forsee him being someone who will use one's work with the person getting no compensation in return.

I am not a huge Mark Cuban fan, but I do agree with this.....
