    Austin Rivers Final 16 Games

Austin really struggled this year at the start, but its expected coming into the NBA as a true freshmen, being thrust into a starter role, on a bad team, then into a position he has never played before. All in all i still have faith

    Final 16 games:

    7 PPG - 2 APG - 2 RPG

    FG % - 49.5
    3PT % - 42.3

he finally lowered his shooting and learned to play his game and he was very good, i remember he crossing westbrook, hitting a nasty layup over dwight, also pestering the hell out of kobe on defense, NOT easily done lol.

Point is he did all this at 19-20, I think he will be fine

At 6"5 with a 6"7 wingspan I think he could play either guard position and in 2 years I think rivers will surprise ALOT of people

Also for comparison, harrison barnes, who came out as a sophmore, surrounded with good players averaged 9-4-1, point is i could see rivers being a lockdown defender and averaging 10-4-3 next year.

I agree, if we could draft burke and get a nice young SF for gordon like gallinari, butler, or anyone like that or even sign chase budinger, i think rivers would be fine at the SG

I think he has not only the tools but the mentality to become the closer for the Pelicans.

I like the fact that he played though injuries.

So our guards rotation could Burke - Gordon - Rivers - Vasquez. Sounds nice but we will have to make it work.
"I go so hard, I go so mean... I'm so NEW ORLEANS" - Lil' Wayne
"We not stopping at no stores man ! We staying on the gas !" - Tyreke Evans

I like Rivers. He was improving before his injury. Look forward to seeing him on the court in the fall.

I think the rotation will be Rivers-Bledsoe-Vasquez-Jodie Meeks

Who gives you free tickets? Curious. Yes I did know of a couple of promotions last season that I could earn free tickets. The food bank night was one of those nights I got free tickets. Back to the point of this thread I believe Austin Rivers is going to develop into a very nice talent for the Pelicans. He is not going to transform overnight as some of you expected but he will be a contributor to Monty's system.
