The Clippers has been the model of how not to run a team pretty mich every year before landing Paul. So if you think the only reason Paul left was basketball related or FO personel I strongly disagree. Sterling is the worst owner maybe in league history. He just started opening the wallet and he really has done much of it. If Chris really cared about winning there were far more attractive teams he could have demanded to be traded to. He want a large market and anybody who thinks other wise probably aren't carefully analysing the situation.
But if I remember correctly, the Hornets said they wanted either Eric Gordon or Stephen Curry out of the deal. The Warriors declined because of the uncertainty of Paul's long-term plans with the team. Paul said he would sign a long-term deal with the Clippers, but now we're stuck here. Looking back on it though, he was doing the Hornets a favor. He could have played out the season and signed with the Lakers, Knicks, or Mavericks, but he decided to allow the Hornets to get something out of it.

Now I wish we would have tried to squeeze Eric Bledsoe out of the deal and let the Clippers keep Kaman and Aminu.
