    The Next Jimmy Butler

I see a ton of people praising jimmy butler, me being one of them. He is a guy u want, strong, quick, good jumpshot, rebounder, excellent defender, decent ball handling.

If u watch Jimmy Butler play u can see him and Oladipo are VERY similar. I see oladipo having a similar impact as butler does. While Butler only averages 12 points 5.5 rebs 2 assists per 36 minutes his win share is off the charts high. This is because he is extremely efficient and takes what comes to him just like oladipo. Also like Oladipo he has a nice 3 point shot. Another reason Butler is so good is because he is an excellent defender.

He wont be ur #1 guy, but he will give u insane energy, dependable 3 point shot, elite defense and be extremely efficient, also he is a guy who u can put on the other teams best perimeter player.

IMO, Dipo isn't big enough. Butler plays SF and did an excellent job of guarding LeBron. I don't think Dipo can handle LeBron.

I was talking their style of play not position, butler is most definetly a SF and Oladipo a SG, I agree. I could see Oladipo giving guys like Harden or westbrook fits.

I think Glenn Rice Jr fits the mold here. I'm a little skeptical about his lateral quickness but he's just as undervalued was going into the draft.

I thought he did not declare?

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

Glen Rice will be a good nba player, not only is it in his blood but his game translates perfect to the NBA, athletic, finisher, can shoot off the dribble or off ball.

I'd LOVE Glen Rice Jr, but not at 5 or 6.

Supposedly, his defense is awful, and his lateral agility isn't great. That said, he has some really nice tools offensively. I'd take a look in the late-1st, early-2nd if we could get another pick on the cheap.

Glen Rice Jr. is now officially on my radar too. Shame we'll be picking outside of his range.

FWIW, Chad Ford has him at #15 in his latest mock draft, so getting him in the late 1st or early 2nd is debatable. Not that Chad Ford's word is Gospel, but he does predict draft position fairly accurately. However, I didn't think he was fair or accurate when profiling Austin Rivers during last years' draft process. All that BS about being an "alpha dog" didn't turn out to be true, did it Chad?

Hell. I wish Austin would've taken a few more shots.

Andre Roberson will be the next steal. The dude is so athletic Eman would give him a max contract before he even stepped on an NBA floor.

A reason Oladipo's offensive upside is so high, is he has dynamic slashing potential. He killed teams attacking the basket off the dribble this year with his speed, strength, control and ballhandling. Butler although he's awesome, is more of a perimeter orientated offensive player and thus has lesser upside on that end.

Reggie Bullock is a nice bet to be this year's Butler if there is one. Great shooter, great IQ, can likely guard both wing positions.

No. I'd give him a max cuz our last names are similar.

I feel like Reggie Bullock has a shot at being this.

Haha you know you love the high fliers. Anywho, this cat is 6.7 and averaged 11 rebounds per game. He has a jumpshot in the making, and he has the lateral quickness to defend multiple positions. If he ever gets that jumper goin; i can see him being a very good role player.
He can go in either the first or second round; i think he would be a good get.

i think dipo is a good comparison because of their shared intensity and athleticism. i actually think dipo has a higher ceiling. he's one of my favorite prospects in a while
