Very streaky shooter. Even tho he only shot 32% from the 3 last year. I think it had more to do with his shot selection than anything. He can be a really good pick n pop player in the league and he is solid with both hands handling n finishing. I wouldn't be upset with drafting him if Burke, porter, mclemore and oladipo are all gone.

Do you see Steve Nash in any of these guys?

The point is they aren't either position because they don't play either position well enough. I can "play" SF, but I'm not an NBA SF. If you can't cover anyone at your position, you had better be Steve Nash kind of good. I would say Williams is the best of the three, and he is no more than a solid scorer. A good bench player. For the #2 pick in the draft behind Kyrie Irving, that's not good.

I really don't see Rivers panning out as a PG... if anything, I'd rather rock the boat and draft a PG since we've got a small fortune tied into Gordon & Rivers is more of a SG anyways.

Wouldn't mind McCollum or Saric should we hit the skids in the lotto. I imagine we'll be at 5 or 6.

Im just torn between Burke and Porter, i really hope 1 of them is gone by the time we pick so it will be easier and for the rest of my life if the other player turns out better i cant blame our front office lol.

Also im one of the guys that has tremendous faith in rivers, ur asking a guy who joined the NBA after 1 year in college as a true freshmen to be a starter in the NBA his rookie year AND learn a new position he never played before? He will take time but I think he will be very good. Plus his defense and size will be elite for PGs in the league.

I would be really happy with Burke or Porter. Leaning more towards Burke. I like Rivers as a combo guard off the bench unless he drastically improves his shooting.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

ya i can def see rivers in that ginnobili, crawford role. my only worry then would be SF, good thing next year is rediculously deep at the position.

I think if Rivers can develop into where Tyreke Evans is right now, he will be considered a fantastic pick. I like the probability of that happening too. If we could wind up with Porter and have a Rivers/Gordon/Porter/Anderson/Davis, in 2 years it would be on of the most versatile, deadly lineups in the league. If we spot Davis about 15-20 minutes a game at the 5. The ball movement, defensive capability, with every player being a threat from 15-18 feet. That would be one of the best lineups in the league in advanced stats.

Consider the source.... 57 posts does not lend much credibility. No offense SWC, I just don't know you, so I can't say for sure if you are a noob or not haha.

    here's the 1st draft lottery:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bX1kMlG8c7Y

i find it more than coincidental that:
    lebron goes to his hometown
d rose goes to his hometown (1.7% chance of winning lotto)
a davis goes to newly bought team

Something as scandalous as rigging the lottery, especially with all the GMs in the room at the same time as it's being drawn, is just unthinkable. Not only would it never happen because it would ruin the league, but I don't even think it's possible with all of the attention that goes into it. If there was some rigged lottery system, do you think Charlotte's GM would have idly sat by with out crying foul? Come on now man, there's no way.

Sometimes coincidental things happen that we can't explain, except for the first lotto, that s##t was rigged lol

While I can't confirm or deny it like anybody else some of the back story that just happen to play out with the NBA draft is getting fishy.

Not sure why people think this is something difficult to "fix" if Stern really wanted to. The question is would he risk the entire league to do so? Let's just say I wouldn't be surprised.

Either way I've never been a fan of a lottery. The worse team should get the better draft picks. If tanking is a problem then there's a problem with your league that's much deeper than a draft lottery can fix.

Magicians trick rooms full of people all the time. I'm not saying the lottery is rigged however if they really wanted to it wouldn't be hard whether there were people in the room or not. Do they use ping pong balls with team logos on it? It would be as simple as a weighted ball. It definitely wouldn't be Mission Impossible to rig it.

I don't know if it's rigged or not but if it's been rigged for others, then hell yes, rig it for my team too. Just about anyone could make a case for if it could be, or couldn't be rigged.

14 ping pong balls are used from the numbers 1 through 14. 4 ping pong balls are then drawn with combinations assigned to teams based on their % of winning.

They do multiple test runs before the actual #1 pick attempt, and the same 14 ping pong balls are used in every drawing, including the drawings after the first winner (which could be a dozen or more drawings if the same team keeps winning - for example the Hornets had theirs drawn again for the #3 pick, but they already won #1).

This is all overseen by representatives from Ernst and Young and witnessed by every team in the lottery including media representatives. Now tell me how they can rig it so that one specific team wins on the third attempt.

The only people who think it's rigged are those who don't understand how the process works and probably don't even care to know how... they just like to say it's rigged without any reason behind it.

And how many picks aren't coincidental at all? I can point to far, far, far more examples to show the lotto is just what it is than the few you can throw your hands up and call some kind of shenanigans.

So I guess this means the Kings will win the #1 pick then, right? Newly bought. Maybe Charlotte will win again. They're changing their name at some point. Need a new player. Where's Nerlens from? Nerlens kinda sounds like Nawlins. Guess we're gonna win again. It's so easy to call it after the fact when you get to cherry pick the examples and bend it to fit what you want it to fit, but funny how you can never use this to predict anything.

It's the same as the Illuminati bull. Oh, look those trusses form the Eye of Horus on the statue. It's Illuminati! Football player forms diamonds with their hands to catch footballs. It's Illuminati! Yu-Gi-Oh! has a bunch of Egyptian stuff all over the place. It's Illuminati! Ever been to Egypt? It's Illuminati!

Yea but if you look deep enough into the rabbit hole you'd see that there is actually a group of psychopaths that have infiltrated our governments with an agenda to enslave and dumb down the population. Jus' sayin'.
