We better hope Orlando lands a top 2 pick, they are really high on mclemore as their #1 and Noel as their #2, but from recent reports if they fall to that 3rd or 4th spot they have it narrowed down to Burke or Oladipo, which would suck because they are the only team we would have to worry about stealing Burke from us, bobcats dont need a PG, neither do Suns or Cavs

    Ok, in on this!

Can you make it a bit prettier though Hunny? Maybe a schedule and picks .jpg?

Also someone has GOT to get you a better av than that. Need me to make you one? Hunny deserves it.
    Wherehappens.

    Also Odds would be nice!

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

The Bobcats and Suns aren't so great at PG that they wouldn't take Burke, I think.

Kendall Marshall is just a lefty Vasquez and Kemba Walker would do better being a spark off the bench. Or is someone else starting for Charlotte?

Na Kemba is the starter and I dont see them passing on Noel, they need bigs in a bad way. Also Kemba is only 22 and michael jordan is very high on him, he averaged 18-6-3.5 on a bad team. I think they are set with him for awhile, they need a SG or a big

Now the suns could make a move for Burke but I doubt it, they will lose shannon brown after this year and still have dragic and marshall, and while they might not be all stars, dragic is good enough and burke and oladipo are the same talent of player so I think they would most definetley go Oladipo

Oh right. Forgot Jordan is still helming the Titantic. Yeah. He'll snag Noel. Hell. Maybe he'll even take Shabazz. He's a bit of a narcissist. He'll like how Bazz reminds him of himself.

Yeah, I dont think Charlotte takes Burke. They need a 2 or a 5. They're a threat to move down. They already have Bismack Biyombo and Noel is a much better version of him. If people don't like the combo of AD and Noel, they'd gag at the Biyombo/ Noel combo. I think Charlotte goes with McLemore or Olapdipo if they land a top 3 pick and Bennett Shabazz or Len (scoring front court guy) if they trade out. Overall I think Mclemore is the best fit. They need a big time scorer on the team that's not the point.

to be fare to bismack he is only 20 and at 6"9 and very athletic he reminds me of Ibaka but without the jumpshot, but they play him at center a lot of the time which I dont like. I think he could be a good defensive PF.

Thats one of the problems, people keep taking these kids so young, at 18 and 19, by the time they finally developing they are done their rookie contract and going somewhere else for big bucks, kind of why i like the idea of getting someone like burke or oladipo who will be 24-25 on the last year of their rookie deal

I don't want to make an iron mold for him at the age of 20 (like what i says matters to his development lol), but I picture him being a Chris Anderson. Huge off the bench. Can play 4 and 5. will grab rebounds and block shots. Never really has enough Bball iq to start.

so lets see, according to who i think will be available this is who I think we would pick if we land that spot:

    1. Mclemore
    2. Mclemore/porter
    3. Porter/Burke
    4. Burke
    5. Burke/oladipo
    6. Oladipo/Shabazz
    7. Shabazz
    8. CJ Mcollum

obviously the 1st pick is if available the 2nd is if not available then who.

I'm just waking up and probably missing something but why do we have a 0% chance at landing the number four spot?

  19. #19
The lottery only determines the top 3 spots; any of the 14 teams in the lottery can land a top 3 spot. After the top 3 is determined, the seeding goes by record alone. We have the fifth worst record which means we cannot land anything besides 1-3 or 5-8.

The draft lets you potentially move into the top 3 ONLY, after that its by record. So when the draft comes if you don't hear our name at 6 or 5 you know we got a top 3 pick. Example would be if the thunder aren't announced by 12 then they are picking 1-3. That would be scary.

Lol, just a little late responding.

This year it does not seem anyone tried to lose games, to get a higher pick.

Only the top three spots of the draft are determined by the lottery. After those three teams have been determined, the rest of the draft, i.e., picks 4-60, become like the NFL draft in that they occur in the reverse order of record. Since the Pels have the 5th lottery spot, they can only jump to spots 1, 2, or 3. Or in other words, only one of the top 3 teams can end up at #4 because they would be pushed down if one (or more) of the non-top three teams ends up with top 3 picks.

For a more in-depth (better?) explanation, read the NBA Lottery entry at Wikipedia.

Who can blame them. There's no clear #1 prospect and there's not a lot of players to be excited about early in the draft. I bet next season, there'll be an all out war on tanking and positioning.

Tbh I wouldn't mind CJ from 4 on. I REALLY like the back court possibility if Rivers and him. Heck him and Gordon wouldn't be bad either but I just see him and Rivers fitting so so well together. Also for those that are in the trade Gordon cap this would allow us to move him for a SF and not have a huge weakness at SG.

I had a dream that the Pelicans moved into the 7th spot and drafted CJ Mac
