Name Your Top 5 and Pelicans Top 5

First do your top 5 for overall player abilities, not who you like the most are who you think fits us the best.

    1. Nerlens Noel
    2. Ben Mclemore
    3. Victor Oladipo
    4. Otto Porter
    5. Trey Burke

Now list your top 5 for players you think would fit best on the Hornets

    1. Victor Oladipo
    2. Otto Porter
    3. Trey Burke
    4. Ben Mclemore
    5. Nerlens Noel

I have no clue why you think Oladipo would work the best for this team, when we already have enough athletic ability and Gordon.

    Thanks for the great reply.

How is Oladipo the current best fit if we currently have Gordon? Our number one need is a SF, not to get rid of Gordon. Getting Oladipo would mean altering your team, which by definition makes it not the best fit because you have to make room for him.

Good lord i didn't mean who fits the pelican's NEEDS i said who fits the pelicans the best, as in type of player. For example Monty and Dell say they like hard workers, team players and defenders. Good lord everyone is a freaking critic.

That makes no sense. Monty and Dell can say what ever they like, but that doesn't change who we have on the team. Is there a team in the league that doesn't want "hard workers, team players and defenders"?

    Being serious?!!?

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

I am a lurker of this forum and not a Hornets/Pelicans fan (Raptors fan), but my top 5 is 1. Bennett 2. Olynyk 3. Dieng 4. McLemore 5. Len. I see Bennett and Olynyk as potential 20 point a game PFs if they can both shoot and attack the basket off the dribble. The underrating of Dieng really surprises me, this guy's IQ, fluidity, passing, range is as if the Gasol household had an adopted African son. McLemore is hard for me to project because I am unsure if he attacks the basket well in the NBA, he has the athleticism to but the ballhandling and Kansas career as a slasher were not great. Even if he doesn't I don't think he's far off from top 5 caliber with shooting, IQ and I expect huge defensive potential, especially if he has athletic energy to burn if he's not a slasher. Len can be a center who's both a post scorer and a shotblocker, that's a very rare type and valuable type of player

Whatever your overall top 5 is your top 5 for this team should be exactly the same. This team has more than enough holes to fill. I expect the roster to look very different 2 years from now.

I can understand that POV, but in my opinion the team is set at PF, so anyone who plays that position gets dropped. The biggest hole is SF, but the team could also use upgrades at PG, C, and SG (especially if EG is traded).

No that is incorrect. I know that Noel is the best prospect in this draft, but I am not a fan and do not want to Pelicans to touch him.

But how is that possible when you said there was, "NO POSSIBLE WAY Oladipo goes before Shabazz"?

So why do you think he's the best prospect if you don't want him on the team?

I don't like the pair of him and Davis together. We would get dominated in the post.

He is the probable #1 pick but doesn't mean all teams will take him #1. Including us. As far as most big boards go he is prob at the top of many of those. Doesn't mean we do tho.
