For those who couldn't see it -
Didn't watch the game yet. Is it any serious?????
I don't want to see him in another game this season. Really. I'm good. I've seen enough. Let him rest.
3 different injuries in his rookie season. I hope he gets well and has a injury free 2nd year

You never know what will happen. AD and team need to call it a season, and it's been a very good rookie season for each. AD and Rivers will start working out together sooner than expected.
Down 19 with almost 8 minutes left. As I said in the gameday thread, 3-4 stops and go on a 10-0 run its a 9 point game with about 4 minutes left. No longer a blow out. I've seen crazier things happen. Didn't the Lakers come back from 24 down against us. Didn't the Kings come back from like 20 down against us last time we played them in Arco? Haven't we come back from like 25 down against the Kings a couple seasons back? It may be a meaningless game in the sense that we aren't playing for playoffs, but you play to win the game.
People complain about him not getting minutes (regardless whether the game is or isn't on the line); god forbid we bench him and game gets back to 9 points and people ***** and when that he's not in there when the game could've been won.
Uhhh, yeah I just meant meaningless in the sense that we're not playing for anything other that lotto position. Calm down![]()
Agreed. Oh well, AD will be shut down the rest of the season probably (rightfully so). Sucks though, because I have tickets for both Friday and Sunday. Wanted to witness AD playing his last home game as a Hornet!
I still say he should not have been in there with less than 6 minutes left and down 19. Sacramento had started to pull their starters. Monty does that alot though. It is as if he wants to get garbage points so that the final score does not look as bad. This was the second game of a back to back with the game and season basically over. You do not risk your franchise just to make a score look respectable. If the other team has backed off, call it a day.
There was 6 minutes left in the game, there was no reason for him not to be in there. Monty has done this all season. Those are moments, especially for a young player, where a coach earns their salary and cannot simulate that kind of play in practice. How do you respond when being down? Fans are just angry that our star player got injured and need to direct that towards somewhere or someone, other than just accepting that injures happen. And I quoted the other guy too but apparently he deleted his post.
I called for him to be sat for the rest of the season, and was laughed at.
Here's looking at you scoffers.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.
Sorry, respectfully disagree. We are not coming back from 19 with 6 minutes to go. The season is over. An extra few minutes against the Kings bench players is not going to make or break Davis' growth (now he missed up to 144 minutes over next 3 games). It was the second game of a back to back on a lengthy road trip and he had played 38 minutes the night before in a physical game and already had 32 in this game. It was nuts to have our starters on the court.
Yes, but chances increase with additional playing time. Why play him in garbage time at the end of a lost season in the second game of a back to back? You think most teams pull their starters when well ahead or behind just for the fun of it? They do so because having their valuable starters out there is unnecessary and the backups can get some playing time.
Monty played Harris, Mason and Thomas a combined 4 minutes in the 2 back to back games (Amundson and Miller had 24 total). So he was basically going with nearly an 8 man rotation, which is fine if we were getting ready for the playoffs.
No one expected to or wanted to win the game. Those are the times coaches get to do their jobs. Hindsight is 20/20, if he would have played the rest of the game (and we still lost), never got injured and scored 20 points and grabbed 15 rebounds you wouldnt have said **** about he shouldnt have been playing at the end of the game. I have been hating on Monty for dumb decisions he has made throughout the season, this one isn't his fault.
