    THANK YOU!

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

If we press and try and "fix" everything in one offseason we'll be stuck in the middle. Book it.

Pistons tried to fix every problem they had in one offseason when they had a chunk of cap room. They ended up with Charlie V. and Ben Gordon's contract. Not saying this would be us, I feel Demps>Dumars, but still no reason to rush if we don't like the parts there. Next years draft and free agent pool should be deeper than this ones.

Which team do you know of that went from last to contending for a title in one offseason?

It's crazy that Detroit was considered big winners in the FA a year before LBJ and Bosh went to Miami. That deal is garbage.

Yeah. Prudence and patience will carry us further than haste.

I'll repost this here just so everyone understands.

I don't get the "JJ Hickson" love out here. I mean his individual advanced numbers look good (PER of 20, REB splits of 13/29/21, ORTG of 114). But for all his rebounding abilities, why is it that POR rebounds better when he's off the court?

According to most sites that provide on/off court splits, POR rebounds better when Hickson is OFF the floor. I'll go with NBAWowy.com since I know how he gets the info (play-by-play parsing, so it's actual rebounding percentage, not an estimate). Without Hickson, POR rebounds at a rate of 24.6/75.4/49.7. With Hickson, 26.4/71.9/45.2. That may speak to Hickson's inability to consistently box out his man. And the 5 players that play the most without Hickson on the court is the lineup featuring their starting five but replacing Hickson with Leonard -- who's a worse individual rebounder than Hickson.

Not to mention the fact that the amount of shots at the rim (meaning dunks, layups or tip-in) is higher when Hickson is ON the court, than off.

    Amount of Dunks+Layups:
with JJ = 988 (or 26.4% of total attempts) where opponents make 63.3%.
without JJ = 644 (or 25.2% of total attempts) where opponents make 62.4%

The fact that according to 82games.com, POR is better off with Hickson NOT on the floor speaks something.

Yeah, how a player affects tREB% is more important than how much his personal oREB and dREB percentages are.

I think we will keep Aminu but those others are hopefully gone

What about a big baby? They are looking to rid of him. He may fit nicely with Davis

We probably won't be able to afford Aminu. We can only offer him up to his QO we declined I think. Other teams will likely give him more than that.

No. Just... no. He is a a blackhole on offense while being ineffective at it and is even worse on defense.
