Because people are so fixated with him becoming a center. It's almost like asking why doesn't Portland put Aldridge at center. If the guy is developing into a dominant PF, let him continue to develop there.

Seriously. Maybe he doesn't move, maybe he does. Right now all I know is he's gonna be a beast.

I wouldn't say people are "fixated" on him becoming a center (whatever that means). I know i'm not.
I was merely saying that it is an OPTION. Who says he can't be a PF/C? I mean those exist right?

we will most likely just keep lopez and use him when playing against teams that have dwight, cousins, people like that, but vs the heat we can have davis at the 5 and ryno at the 4 or whoever

The NBA is becoming a small league. Teams are playing their PF's at C more and more often every year so they can be more mobile and put more talent on the floor. OKC , SA, MIA, DEN, BOS, LAC, and GS all play their power forwards at center for a good amount of minutes.

What Center Could We Get for GV and Lopez

Who does advanced metrics or whatever they called say is good. I'll take pek. Pek and ad is a great pair

Kind of a gamble, but a guy who could be low risk high reward is Kosta Koufos. He's been pretty good this year, still young too. I'd imagine Utah wouldn't give up on Enes Kanter since he's been good. I doubt he's ungettable, though.

Anthony had 14 boards last night, the next closest was Aminu, Amundson, and Henry with 4 boards a piece.

Lopez had 3, 2 defensive. How in the world can a 7ft be so bad at rebounding? It's unacceptable.

Whether AD plays center or PF, what we need is for him to get bigger and more impactful on the defensive end. We need defense. GV can't keep anyone out of the lane, and Lopez can't stop them once they get there. Unfortunately, we can't afford for Davis to be "solid" defensively.

Lopez doesn't deserve his 5 MIL contract next season.

I think people like to talk about how Anthony has improved so much offensively over the last month or whatever, but nobody talks about how much better he's got defensively as well. Over his past 10 he's put up a defensive rating of 102.6, the 10 before that he was at 111.1 defensive rating.

I've noticed it was improving, but that's a pretty big jump. Thanks for bringing that stat.

I think he's really learning how to use his advantages to help hide his disadvantages, if that makes sense.

Can't wait for him to find patience on D. He bites on those pump fakes because he wants to swat that ball to the upper level section but he has to understand that if he just raises his arms up he has a great chance of blocking the shot.

Ever since I watched him virtually shut down Lamarcus Aldridge(a guy I literally thought was unstoppable with his freakishly high release point), I felt really good about Davis' long term defensive potential.

Of course we all thought he was going to be good defensively, but I mean game altering defense. The kind Avery Bradley, or Tony Allen, Tyson Chandler or Noah play.

I say McGee who I think is the perfect fit. He is on a salary way better then I thought Hornets would have to over pay if we got him through FA. He is buried on depth chart with 2 other Cs that demand decent minutes. He would be an absolute Montser next to Davis and they would be 1 of the best big man Defensive Duo in the NBA instantly. McGee would be used the right way without hindering us because we will be going with Ryno and Davis hopefully late in games anyway. He will be able to play his role here and do it perfect. Smith would be a nice compliment also and the move would make us very versatile. Davis/Ryno McGee/Smith.
