    Eric Bledsoe or Trey Burke

Regardless of their age, what it would take to get them, who do you think would be the better long term PG solution for our team?

With Bledsoe u are getting an elite physical specimen with unmatched athleticism, he is just as athletic as westbrook if not more. He is also an elite on and off ball defender who can finish through contact, run the fast break like a blur which would be unstopable along with gordon and davis, and he can hit the open 3, he is shooting an absolutely rediculous 40% from 3 and 80% from FT

With Burke ur getting a floor general, a leader, and a clutch player. He has very good bball IQ, great jumpshot, good speed, decent defense, good passer.

Depends on what we give up to acquire Bledsoe...

EDIT: Sorry, skimmed over that first line...

In regards to fit/potential with our current roster, I would take Bledsoe. He would provide a much more versatile, change of pace combination with Austin. Plus, he fits so well into the defensive mentality of Monty. I'm excited at the prospect of landing him, given the resources at our disposal. We'll probably make a good run at Bledsoe once CPMe re-signs with LA this summer. Next year, I could envision a starting lineup of Bledsoe, Gordon, Bazz, Anderson, and Davis with Rivers, Miller, Smith, Lopez, and a number of quality rotation players via FA.

"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."

Burke.... Because he's going to be on a rookie contract for a long time whereas Bledsoe will command a large salary real soon.

Burke - He wont cost as much, plus I'm thinking he will probably be BPA at the time we pick.

  5. #5
Burke because while Bledsoe is the better physical specimen I think Burke is the better basketball player.

Burke because we'll have him locked up for 4 years at draft day. He's better on offense, and underrated on defense.

I want a PG that can facilitate his team to victory or take over the scoring duties if someone is having an off night, and Burke can do that.

Burke. But I'm interested in hearing how we fix the SF position if we use our pick is Burke. Not a lot of home runs in the SF free-agent pool.

We are rebuilding we can fix any other issue we have as we go along. Doesn't have to be done all in one year.

FA just to name a few: Budinger, Webster, Brewer and D. Wright (more options than there is at PG in FA)

Just having a SF capable... CAPABLE of hitting a jump shot from 18 ft to 3pt line is good enough for our ensemble.

I have to imagine if Gordon, Vasquez, or Lopez are traded it is to net a younger less potential "SG" or an above average SF.

I would rather Bledsoe right now. Nothing against Burke but he hasn't played an NBa game yet

The Austin Rivers disrespect is turrible. When he comes back and ball, just know I always held him down.

I was just about to mention AR... he is our PG of the future I don't know why everybody seem to forget that we drafted him to play point. Monty has already said this. He played SG out of necessity this season, but AR is our PG moving forward. Might wanna get used to the idea and stop with these pipe dreams of Burke, CP3, Bledsoe, and *insert any other random PG here*.

Give me Burke. He has lead a team before (remember Bledsoe played second fiddle to John Wall before he played second fiddle to CP3). I like his winning ways, and his ability to command an entire floor. Damn shame he sat for nearly a qtr of the championship game, as he was balling out of control.

The SF problem isn't much of one. You don't need an all star. You need a lock down defender. If we keep Gordon, Davis develops, and we land Burke...couple that with Anderson off the bench, we have enough offense, we will need defenders, and AFA and Lopez can provide that. We just need consistent offense and the sf problem is just luxory we won't have, but not a death blow to any title chances.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

I just don't get how this is debatable. One is a pipe dream, fantasy trade and one will likely be there for "free" when we pick.

Why is it disrespect just because he isn't in the poll? It's not the topic.

btw, what is turrible is your blind faith in a player who had one of the worst % seasons in NBA history last year, regardless of his improvement later in the year.

I don't know if Rivers was really drafted just to play PG.
I think Monty and others have said that to appease Gordon.
He could easily play SG if Gordon is traded.

If you take out cost, then probably Bledsoe. But in real life you don't take out cost, and so I think Burke will probably be the better choice (unless the Pels get a top three pick and can take either Porter or Smart).

I think he'll ultimately end up as a combo guard 6/7 man off the bench which is fine. Get me 10 off the bench with no turnovers and I'm very happy.

Bledsoe. Don't let a good college season by a PG who played with more talent than he probably went against blind you. He's good but will it all translate as well? We know what Bledsoe can do.

Sorry, but there was nothing about his rookie season that made me comfortable that we should assume he will be our starting PG. I think he is better suited as a combo guard off the bench. I hope he becomes a great PG, but he has a long way to go to even think he has a shot. We cannot bypass the position in hopes that he may develop.
