Great game, like both colleges but as a Burke and Robinson fan a bit upset. Stoked for Kevin Ware. Poor coaching I thought by Michigan late. Pity about the officiating too, the 2 missed goaltends, the Burke block, the missed Diang travel etc etc. Not saying I think Michigan would have won, just would like to have seen the game as a tied/ closer ball game late with the possibility of overtime or a big play. Anyhow one of the best national championship games in several years.

The game would have been different had we not sat Burke 12 min, but great game by Louisville. We got out coached, but that's ok, John will learn and get better.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

Do y'all think Gorgui Dieng will enter the draft, he was impressive tonight.

So, could Siva make it in the NBA? The speed is incredible, and I didn't know he had hops like that. Maybe prisoner of the moment, but I came away impressed as hell with him each time I've watched Louisville this year.

Now my brother is telling me Siva is going as a lottery pick.

  8. #183
I think he will. That Louisville team has a lot of NBA talent on it. Dienge would have been a top 15 pick last year. Tonight Siga, Dienge, and Smith really helped their stock.

You think he's going as a lottery pick? Well wait, let me clarify. He said he thinks he's a top 5 pick. Do you think he's a top 5 pick?

There are many more prospects with more upside than Peyton Siva. He wont be a lottery pick.

Ok. That's what I was telling him.

I think of Tony Delk when I think Payton Siva going in the lotto. He will go in the 1st, just not sure that high.

  16. #191
I don't see any 22 year old averaging a steady 10 and 5 the last 3 years going into the lottery.

The sad thing is you are right. But you will have Kwamee Browns, Darkos, Rafa Arujo, Robert Swift, etc going in the top 10.

There are some really stupid NBA gm's.

  19. #194
    MJ broke Kwame.

Ok just to clear this up:

I've been trolling McNamara with this lately on twitter and such, and it was me who's been pushing his "take" on Burke but to be fair he actually likes Burke a lot, just doesn't see the fit on the Pelicans.

Why? Mainly because he doesn't think that Burke can create the on the ball pressure that Monty wants. I think that's asinine and Burke will be a VERY pesky defender in the NBA.

And ANYONE who saw that block last night (which was NOT a foul) would be totally crazy to not realize that Burke is very athletic. Only a handful of PGs in the NBA have elite speed, you don't have to be a roadrunner to be a great PG.
    Wherehappens.

You don't need it to be the best PG. Paul was never on a Wall/Westbrook/Rose type level physically. Now after the injuries he's not even close. There's something to be said about pacing, changing gears, great vision, good shooting, craftiness, and high IQ on offense.

Defense more than anything is about effort. Trey has the length, lateral quickness and foot speed to be just as pesky on ball as Paul if not more so with his 2-3 inch length difference over Paul. Not sure he has Chris' instinct for playing the passing lanes and when to gamble for steals.

If we are waiting for an elite athlete of a PG, we may be waiting for 3-5 years. They are not "easy" to get. Trey Burke is the best option in this draft, and we won't be tied to waiting on Rivers to decide what he going to be in this league.

Agreed. I'm not tying anything at all to Rivers. Could it happen? Sure and that would be great, then we use one of them as a great piece to move as we build.
