Really wanted to go SF or PF but have to go BPA
The Pistons select - PG - Jrue Holliday
Holliday is a stud, at 6"4 he is an incredible combo guard who can score anywhere on the court, while also never being selfish dishing out perfect passers to open teammates, also is very good at rebounding for a PG averaging 19-9-4 while shooting over 37% from 3. He looks every bit the part of one of the league's best young guards going forward. At only 22 will only get better and can see him having a 20-10-5 season next year.

With having Derrick Rose and Jrue Holliday I would be open to trading either one if the right deal comes along, if not a back court of Rose and Holliday could work just like the rockets with Lin and Harden.

Jrue Holiday is a combo guard now ?

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

I came that close to picking ole Jrue Holiday at my pick. I just liked the mixture of Smith and Duncan. Great pick, surprised he fell this far.

The Kings select PF Carlos Boozer

Boozer has a rap for not being the best defender or the most physical player, but under Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau that has all changed. Boozer has firmly set himself inside top 5 points per play among the PF's chosen in this redraft so far. He has improved his defensive 5 percentage points since last season. He has also been a top 65 pick and roll defender in the NBA this season, which is important because some teams use the pick and roll up to 60% of the time in their offense. He has also been a beast on the boards posting a 26.5 defensive rebound rate which is good for 3rd amongst PF's who play 25+ minutes a game or more.

His real contribution comes offensively though, where he is having a Carlos Boozer type season. He gets lost in the shuffle because he isn't flashy or "sexy," but he gets the job done. Boozer has rated as one of the top post up PF's in the NBA for years. Offensively Boozer makes for an excellent fit next to James Harden because what he can do in the pick game. Boozer can roll to the basket and finish at the rim where he posts a 69% finish rate, top 10 amongst PF's, or he can pop and use his excellent midrange game (44% from midrange) to score the ball. Boozer is also a threat when he gets his hands on a offensive board posting a fabulous 1.2 ppp in those situations.

Yeah, when I traded back up to grab a guard, I was debating between Wall and Holiday. At the end of the day though, I just thought that Wall is a much better playmaker and leader.

With the 45th pick in the draft, the Atlanta Hawks select the ultimate utilitarian guard in today's game:

    SG Manu Ginobili

(Will writeup my short explanation when I get back)

Ill agree wall is a better playmaker but not leader, he is known for being a punk and having a bad work ethic and not being a locker room guy with a bad atitude.

Still taking offers for jrue holliday, closing in on a deal so seeing if anyone else wants to make an offer before I make a trade.

Last year one of the most cited reasons that I lost in the finals was that "Boozer can't defend and is overrated". I'm not bitter but I'm a little surprised to see him go over a couple of big men left.

Lot of guys who have taken a lot of heat this year that are falling further than they should...

Well like I stated in my post, his defense this season has been a great improvement.

There were a few guys I liked more than Booz but with the run on bigs your pretty much forced to take one. And of all the guys I researched he was easily the most balanced big I could find.

Same with David West. He's been really good defensively this season for the Pacers.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

Also, I should never make picks in haste. Totally regretting the Manimal pick.

I think drafting coaches would be a flat out awesome twist.

I was called out for having aldridge, cousins and durant and told that they would get destroyed inside and couldnt defend by someone who drafted boozer in the 2nd round haha

Couldnt have written it up better if i tried lol

Yeah, his team's record says otherwise. 23-19 with him. 5-28 without him. You'd be hardpressed to find a single team with that much disparity cause of one player. Also, Okafor went from being downright awful to once again averaging double/doubles. If you watch that team, I don't think they for one second see Wall as their "punk" ballhog.

You have the most talented team by a mile but a lot of redundant skillsets with a lot of redundant negatives. I'm having a hard time envisioning how these 3 figure out how to share the ball or defend. That being said, Durant alone is worth his weight in gold so we'll see.

The coaches idea is awesome btw.

LOL. That's the beauty of 24 teams though. No one gets VDN. On the other hand, it wouldn't be inconceivable to see a Popovich going as early as late 1.
