If this rumor has any legs then I think it's because they figure drafting 5/6 there's a reasonable chance that either McLemore or Oladipo are available. That's really the only reason selling low on Gordon this summer makes sense when you could wait a few months and get more value after proving he's 100%.

Not only that but there is the potential of trading back into the lottery by using Williams...

    Noel/Oladipo

    or

    Oladipo/Burke
    Wherehappens.

Redick is a guy imo that's just waiting for a bigger role and will improve a lot when he gets it.

Haha glad I'm not the only one. Two guys who hit big shots to beat the Tarheels on the same roster.

Rivers barely counts but I have an unhealthy dislike for Redick even though I can't deny how well he's improved in the NBA.

Have read plenty and think he has some loose sources (i.e. possible employee but with only periferal knowledge, not upper management). However, he tends to embellish and fill in with his own guesses. Not overly accurate with anything earth shattering. Reported the Tracy Porter visit even after Gallette did.

I find this trade interesting because I also feel the Twolves would be the most willing trade partner because of desperation to appease Love along with the "win now" mentality of the team.

Chances for a trade such as this happening go up if they don't resign Pek, so this stuff isn't too far of a stretch.

Historical precedent is also present with their risk with Brandon Roy, and Gordon has a much better chance of being productive than Roy at this stage.

If I'm going to make ANY sort of trade with Gordon to Minnisota, one thing is a must: the 2014 pick unprotected. If the Pels could then manage a sign-and-trade with Pek as part of the whole ordeal, and I think this goes down pretty well for both teams rolling the dice on next year for two totally different reasons.

Hickson had great advanced metrics last season as well. This isn't a 1-year thing. He is legit, and he would be a great compliment to Davis and Anderson.

I like Hickson. I have him on my fantasy team...dude is a walking double double. That said... I don't think he is a legit starting center.
He is a PF no doubt.
It is often they put Leonard in for Hickson vs larger centers. I only like Hickson if we can keep Lopez as well.

I've never read anything regarding his of the Saints, I'm talking strictly Hornets. In that he has a excellent track record.

Let's hope he's wrong on this one.

Want to see a Rivers/Gordon backcourt for at least 20+ games next season before giving up on either personally. Just grab BPA (PG/SG/SF) in the draft so we have trade options down the road without having to waste ANOTHER whole year without playoff experience. Guys have to remember that we have to take advantage of some of Davis'/Rivers' rookie contracts now, cause at least one of them (Davis) is going to get big money and tie up major cap down the road.

I'd rather unload Vasquez to the T-wolves to shore up their SG spot for a top 10 protected pick or something.

But yea, trading our one guy who can consistently get into the paint for depth at a position we don't need depth at? No thank you. We already have cap space this summer, don't need to overreact right now.

You too optimistic about Gordon. We can't fight for a playoff spot if Gordon averages 40 games a year. The team is not and will not be good enough to win games with Gordon on the bench. The longer we wait to replace him, the worse off we're are. Gordon is and will always be a tease. Just barely healthy enough to keep you optimistic.

I agree with you. If we're wrong, we're wrong but at least you know the outcome. That's why I want to grab Oladipo if he's there. The improvement in his game has been outstanding and he is gonna be a good one to latch your wagon onto.

He's logged few minutes at the 3 this season, but did ok at the position last season.

He stated that Porter was visiting Saints and likely to replace Asomugha as our newly signed CB. Also, said Asomugha's offer from SF was $7-$9 million more than the Saints (he got $1.35 million). I have not seen anything earth shattering about the Hornets at all other than the early leak of the logo (which I think he said someone left on the copier at the facility). So, I think he has a contact at a lower level, but not anyone privy to upper management decisions.
