    Gordon trade - Driveman

it's well documented that bucky's named bounced around during the deadline and the driveman is %76.6 sure he'll BE dealt over the summer. too much baggage and as WITH the saints, the benson, entourage realizes how important it is to have a likable team. the fanBASE loathes bucky so this has to be done:

Gordon for derrick williams and JJ barea

TWolved get a scorer to go with roobio and the hornets gets an athlete who can get above the rim and defense and is still on his rookie DEAL and the wiley mexican who has always been a THORN in the hornets rose

    DRIVEMAN OUT
Opinions? Driveman seems to be right about everything since Benson took over.

Another 4 man to add to a crowded position? I like JJ but not D Will.

I don't disagree with trading Gordon, but we're getting the short end of the stick in that trade if it were to happen.

Maybe if we sent Williams to a third team? I don't like how it currently is much at all.

I put my life trust to Drive man, so I expect this to happen.

The more I think about it the more I like the idea of a Williams/Davis front court once Anthony bulks up.

Williams measured 6'9 at the combine with a 7'2 wingspan. He has a inside/outside offensive game that is extending out to the 3 pt line. He's actually an above average defensive rebounder (and will only get better) and he's not a terrible defender (0.89 ppp). He's a really good pick and pop/roll player.

That looks more like his personal speculation than something from sources.

Drive man seems to be a lot like the old truck man. He guesses alot. There is no way I would do that trade.

Hopefully the 23.4% that he is wrong comes into play.

So JJ and GV are the future?

Or we draft a Burke or Smart and JJ is the backup... I like that actually.
    Wherehappens.

I wonder what it would mean for Austin more than anything.

The greatest question is if they even have enough trust in him to be a starter. If so we may all be surprised and they don't really even go for a starter this offseason.

Not really. Keep it vague and throw guesses out. With this, he leaves 23.4% "wiggle room" if nothing happens.

You clearly haven't read much of drivemans stuff. I'll agree with you about truckman though.

    Reasons I like it:
    1. Not Convinced Gordon can stay healthy
    2. rid outselves of his contract
    3. Not sure Williams has gotten a fair shot being drafted behind a young all star.
    4. Williams adds some much needed athelticism

    Reasons I hate it:
    1. Don't get the best player in the deal
    2. Barrea's contract. Not terrible, but for a backup meh.
    3. Forces Davis to the 5 prematurely
    4. Not sure Williams ever blossoms.
    5. Williams QO is going to be 8 Million and it probably will be likely that he's worth half that so we'll be in a pickle at the end of his rookie deal in 2 years.
    6. Feel like the only reason this happens is Williams is living off his pick status.

Overall I wouldn't pull the trigger, but i don't think it's much more (probably less) of a gamble than sticking with Gordon with his injury history.

If the percentage is about anything it's just about Gordon being traded, not that the specific trade mentioned goes down. Driveman does appear to have Benson sources, but even if he sneaked into Demps office, the only part of this they could conceivably be 76.6% sure of is wanting to trade Gordon.

I hope we dont get rid of gordon until next years trade deadline, he has a clause plus im willing to give him one more season until the deadline because he is worth it incase he becomes the players he can be.

I think Gordon gets dealt this summer too but not for that return

If we trade Gordon i hope its for a young player with potential thatway IF we do trade him atleast we are saving money and not taking back another bad contract. we really just need a sf or sg if gordon is moved, idk who though.

Yea, the only thing I'd take out of the post, is that the staff is willing to trade Gordon and could happen as soon as this summer. Everything else seems like speculation on his part.

Hornets should trade Gordon for next year draft pick(s). Going to be a much stronger class I expect in 2014, especially in the wing and big man area.

everyone wants to get rid of gordon, if we do and mclemore is gone when we pick who do yall envision running the SG spot?
