Hey I agree. I'm the first person to start dropping Trey Burke name around here so I'm a huge fan. I also agree that he'll probably be the best player in this draft and on our team if we draft him.

Where you lost everybody is when you said he'll be better than Chris Paul who is shaping up to be all time great especially at his position. Not that Trey can't just that it's far too soon to say. Not that that stopped anybody here from going crazy with Anthony Davis fever so people shouldn't come down on you too hard.

The last time I followed a college career this closely and was this excited about a player it was CP3 oddly enough.

Burke dosen't have that quickness or turbo that CP had when he entered the league. He does have some of his leadership qualities and is a great passer and a good shooter (something CP wasn't on earlier on). In college a lack of quickness, won't hinder you that much but in the league it's a different story. He also looks like he could possibly be a great combo guard or a short 2. He looks like he could be too similar to Vasquez which would be redundant to draft right now.

He doesn't have elite quickness and may be a shade less quick than Paul leaving Wake but it ain't by much. He's quicker than Chris post injuries and Paul still have plenty of quickness. To say his quickness and/or foot speed is on par with Vasquez is absurd IMO.

I'm not saying his foot speed is on par with Vasquez lol Im saying his game is and what he would bring too the team is but his defense may suffer in a similar fashion.

I also think Burke will be a better pro player than college player, i could see him averaging 19-10

Sorry if this has been already discussed ( I haven't read all 80 pages), but any chance some team would trade our unprotected first this year and a player for their unprotected first next year? Not sure if any teams need to make a PR splash or something like that this year. Or how much teams are valuing next year's draft class in particular. There's just no one I love this year. Oladipo comes closest, but I'd still rather roll the dice for next year.

It depends, we dont know which draft pick we will get and who will be available, say he wind up with the 3rd pick and mclemore or smart are on the board and a team falls in love w them then its very possible.

Fair enough. Hard to answer I guess before the lottery happens. Big difference in value between 3 and 9 this year.

I know a lot of people want bazz or oladipo at 4 or 5 but if we could find a way to trade down and get 2 picks in the 10-20 range then id love to draft burke and either GR3 or that greece kid.

Burke almost certainly won't be available at 10, but GRIII is a nice player. I love his potential moving forward, and I'm afraid he is going to rise up the draft boards after his great tournament.

That kid from Greece could end up being something serious....he'll take a couple of years but who knows what Monty could turn him into.

I'd be super careful with drafting Giannis, been following him loosely for a little while. He has so much athletic advantage over his competitors, that's what makes him seem good. He is super skinny, his handles are worse than Aminu's, maybe even worse than Javale. And has no jumper. Calling him the poor mans Pippen is pretty much right, he currently is a poor man's Julian Wright as well. His abilities are made to look far better playing in that league. Not saying he couldn't pan out, but it'd be years away and he just can't shoot, which I have had enough of from our 3's

Well he turned 18 like 5 months ago so i can get over the being skinny and lack of jumpshot, he is a baby, and to have that athletic ability that young is scary, he wont do much his first 2 years in the league but when he puts it together he could be an absolute force

id draft him, leave him in greece for one more year so he doesnt get beat up and he can work on his fundamentals, then next year bring him over year and prepare him for NBA bodies. He seems like a good kid.

  16. #1991
His brother is a better shooter from what I have seen and still a fairly elite athlete

I'd be ok using a very late 2nd and Euro-stashing him. But I would want him at least in a Division 1 League preferably a bigger and better one. Still I think not having a jumpshot after playing 9 years of ball is a bit of a concern.

And for 2 years plus I think

Ya well no way he makes it to the late 2nd, ive seen a couple mocks that have him in the 15-25 range, i cant see him making it out of the 1st round, MAYBE early 2nd, way too much potential and skill set.

Rivers, Davis, and this kid would give us a very big and long team, 6"4 PG, 6"10 SF 6"11 PF

What's Rivers wingspan? That counts more as far as length is concern than height does.

its a combo of height and reach, which it total standing reach, thats how u determine length really, i'd like to see what rivers standing reach is compared to people like jrue holliday, rose, curry and westbrook

    Standing reach is 8ft

  25. #2000
Rivers: height 6'5" wingspan 6'7.25" standing reach 8'.05"
Rose: height 6'.25" wingspan 6'8" standing reach 8'.25"
Curry: height 6'3.25" wingspan 6'3.5" standing reach 8'.1"

can someone tell me how rivers is taller and has a longer wingspan than curry but curry has a better standing reach? Does rivers just have the widest shoulders in the world or somethin? lol wtf.
