What kind of bull-ish was it with all the court supporting the Heat in our own house? That's so sad, we are going nowhere with no fan base. I just quit the game at the 2nd quarter.
That's the first game of the season I didn't watch.

I got yelled at as to why I was standing up in the beginning of the game, and if I was gonna stand the whole game. I actually got pissed and gave the guy attitude. "HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO A HORNETS GAME BEFORE?!"

Man that happens in 95% of NBA arenas, have you see how Knicks fan at MSG when LeBron or Kobe go off there. Give credit were credit is due that was a good performance he put on in that first half. But our fans show they know how to treat opposing players when we are good ask Tony Parker. (Win and they will come)

The hornets fan base couldn't fill the arena if everyone decided to attend the same game. The only time we sell out is when popular teams with stars come to town.

Not...I don't even know if that's false or not. Irrelevant.

    Anyway, to everyone:

At the end of that 07\08 season going into the playoffs had 9 consecutive sell outs to end the year. People like watching winners, and that is how you build a fanbase

Pacers’ George Hill rips lack of fan support during loss to Lakers

“It sucks. It was 70 (Lakers fans) – 30 (Pacers fans) out there. These are the same people that wants autographs after the game. We’re out there in the community. We’re doing our job, doing what we’re supposed to do on and off the court. Something has to change. I tip my hat to this team. We’ve been trouble free. Been out in the community shaking hands, we’re winning. It shouldn’t feel like an away game, especially with an important like this. Tonight, that’s what it felt like.”

“They always say your fans are your sixth man and you feed off that energy. Energy is down and we turn the ball over and we’re hearing cheers. We’re missing shots and we’re hearing cheers. That kind of brings your head down cause you know you’re at home. It shouldn’t be like that. Now we see how it is. We have to move forward, don’t worry about. Stay focus on what’s in this locker room and don’t worry about the rest.”
George Hill says he didn’t mean to disrespect to Pacers fans

I did the same thing. I would have been banned from the Arena if I would have attended this game. I watched the 1st quarter heard the Heat home crowd cheering and change the channel. Glad the Sweet 16 was on today. I knew those bandwagon fans would show up. Those same bandwagoners will be on the Pelicans jock when they start winning claiming they been fans since the team been in New Orleans. Some of those same people are bandwagon Saint fans. Glad I didn't go. Those bandwagoners are good for one thing, over paying for dirt cheap tickets.

I'm sure you didn't sell them to the people everyone's complaining about..

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

Since you couldn't comprehend my post, I will break it down for you. As a season ticket holder I have the option to sell back tickets to the Hornets to go on my next years balance. I don't have the time or patience to deal with all the local Lakers and Heat fans, so for my sanity I choose not to attend those games. Now from the Hornets hands I can neither confirm nor deny if they sold them to Heat fans. I could have given those two tickets to known hornets fans and it wouldn't have made a dent in decreasing the number of Heat fans. Anyone who believe otherwise is grasping at straws...

Watching LeBron tell the crowd to cheer more was disgusting. What a ******.

What a joke. But as a season ticket holder, let me explain what i did, since you can't comprehend it, See as a season ticket holder (yes I understand your position quite well)who couldn't stand sell my ticket back for face value (so it could be sold back to a heat fan); I decided to eat the bill of this game because I KNEW it couldn't be sold to a heat fan.

Your whole notion of not giving them away to hornets fans is a joke. You are part of the problem. You wanted some
Money back for your tickets so you sold them back and in turn probably opened up tickets for the very same people you're *****ing about. Anyone who believes otherwise is grasping at straws. Stop complaining about things you're not actively trying to prevent. P.s. grats on the money you go back.

Please save me with your high and mighty, I'm a real fan and your not, attitude. I don't have to please you or anyone else. I don't have money to throw away like you Mr Baller, every penny counts in my house. I've been a season ticket holder since 2007, that's dedication enough. You sound really dumb trying to suggest I shouldn't try to lessen my bill for next year, all in the name of showing you I'm a real fan. Also, no where in my post I was complaining. I just stated why I didn't go, it didn't concern you. I've been on this site years before you and people like you are the reason I don't post often.

P.S. Thank you, I saved $200 on my bill for next year. And I feel great!

Love this quote by Monty: "Jordan played against men," Williams said. "LeBron plays against young boys. That's the difference."

When MJ played, guys weren't coming into the league one and done like they are now. If Stern wouldn't have enforced the one and done we'd still be seeing high schoolers.

My thread wasn't about high and mighty or being a better fan. It took that tone after you acted high and mighty and apparently are the only one who can comprehend and said:
"Since you couldn't comprehend my post, I will break it down for you."
My post was the about hypocrisy you displayed in selling the tickets to what could have been heat fans then complaining about how many heat fans were out there. I don't blame you for getting money back, i merely think you're not in a great position to complain. But this conversation is going no where. I'll apologize for the tone i took with you on my previous post.

I think the new rules allow for the younger guys to be a little more successful early. You can get away with not being physically strong with no hand checking and such.

It's no problem, you obviously do what you want with your money, but every Hornets fan who sold his ticket contributed to the hostile court from yesterday.
It's not about bandwaggoners or winning, it's about feeling the sport and the team, when the Hornets were in OKC '06, the court was pretty filled and the people were cheering as much as they do now with the Thunder.
Just watching the Thunder home games pumps me UP a lot, and surely does for the players too, I just hope it would be the same there in New Orleans.

Yeah, I think the sell the tickets off phase will stop once we become a near playoff team. Then those games are FUN. Now though, it's like lambs being lead to the slaughter. I personally don't care for the heat "fanbase" because these people are LeBron fans, not team fans.

I'd be surprised if New Orleans ever gets to that level.

    BSH is 100% right.

I guarantee that 504 wasn't the only person who contributed to putting tickets in Heat fans hands.
