    Guess not.

But hey, if at first you don't succeed...become a bobcats fan.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

Who should become the first person to be drafted to the pelicans?

Oladipo is my first choice, if he's already gone and Mclemore is still there I take him and either have him and rivers off the bench try to make a splash in FA for a SF or I trade Gordon for a SF

EDIT: Keep in mind I'm not a "dump Gordon advocate", just saying if we take someone like Mclemore it gives us flexibility with what we can do with Gordon.

B-Mac will be a non factor in the NBA. These kids this season all lack something that will make them irrelevant at the next level. However im willing to eat crow

Well there's no way I take Len above Zeller I'll tell you that much.

    I don't think you're alone in that.

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

Yeah I'm not thrilled about McElmore or Smart. I think the top will be very good players, but nothing to change the balance of the league. I'm remain steadfast that Burke will be the biggest impact player from this draft. After that it's a crap shoot of high reward mid to low risk prospects.

The question is, do you think Burke will be a Lawson level product or not.

Depends on the system he lands in. If they allow him to be a ball dominate guard like Paul/Nash or how we do with Vasquez this year I think he'll be better than Lawson(from a production perspective). Lawson can get in the paint with ease, but Burke makes such great decision once he breaches the opposing defense's interior. I expect that to get better at the next level with the floor spacing in the NBA.

I don't think he has the insane quickness and speed that Ty has, but really no one does so is that fair?

I think that Burke will be a Ty/CP3 mixture at a lower tier. Is that a guy you want on your team? I do.

Anyone have Lawson's defensive stats? Is he a liability on defense? That was some people's assertion on Burke that he would be a liability on defense so Dell won't touch him. I think that's asinine. He's no defensive presence but I don't think he'd be the liability that Vasquez is.

Lawson's really taken a step forward this year. I'd be happy at where he's at now TBH. I'm not sure he gets there.

If we don’t land the players we want at 8, one option could be to trade our pick for two top 20 picks and land Brandon Paul (SG- Illinois) and Khalif Wyatt (PG-Temple).
BP is a baller and can play heavy minutes at SG when Gordon is out. KW is a physical PG that can muscle his way against smaller defenders. The only problem with these picks is that they are both going to be taking minutes away from rivers and I don’t the hornets’ organization doing that.

    Maclemore 2 points 0-9 fg.

These guys really don't want it. I respect Marshall Henderson.

First take just brought up great points about this draft class. Basically saying Shabazz is the only guy that may have All-Star potential.

  18. #1493
Out of sight, out of mind. Nerlens Noel is the player I want. Also, CJ McCollum is intruiging to me.

If bazz is there we take him. Getting Bazz will open up things for Gordon, right now we have no floor spacing with Aminu on the floor

I think Burke can definitely lead this team to be a contender year in year out. I would feel really comfortable handing the reins over to him. Dude just has IT. Just a str8 baller. Let's hope demps n Monty see it that way. Lol

Who should become the first person to be drafted to the pelicans?

I think Burke's athleticism is fine.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

Nerleans to me is DeAndre Jordan floor Tyson Chandler Ceiling.

    I'd take that.

Personally at this point, I think Burke is the only person who can escalate their stock significantly. He's a late lottery guy right now, everyone else seems to be pretty locked in until the combine & workouts.

Don't think anyone who performed poorly in the first round should have opinions changed on them. Burke even played poorly in the first round, almost all the big names did

I think Oladipo has jumped a bit in some people's eyes. Not much, but perhaps over guys like Len and Bennett depending on the team. Some had him as low as 8 or so.
