Yea burke can def hurt or raise his stock in this tourn. Just like the rest of the guys can.i think mclemore is cemented at 1 tho. It don't matter how far they go in the tourn. I think a team can reach for Burke tho come draft night just like Portland did with Lillard.

I'll be interested to see how Burke measures up to Lillard's combine numbers. Was Lillard considered quick coming out?

I have no doubt that Burke will put up a shooting performance similar to Lillard's and will open eyes.
    Wherehappens.

I don't think this draft has the type of guys in it that constitute the "must go bpa" type of thinking. It's a very tight race from 2-7 and not a big gap from them guys to the 8-10 guys. With this draft u def go with need unless u can get mclemore which sg isn't considered a need cuz of Gordon.

Yea Lillard was def considered quick coming out. Burke isn't slow tho. Lol..he has a nice first step driving to the hoop. I've seen him do many blow byes. Portland reached for Lillard cause of need. Just as Toronto did with Ross. Same as last year is this year with the bpa argument. After Davis there was no cant miss prospect. So many teams drafted based on need.

Man what happened to poythress?? I thought the kid would be a beast playing under calipari. I still have high hopes for him tho. He just had a down year as did the entire team. I wonder if calipari can keep them guys together n develop them a little better to raise their stock. I def think Goodwin and poythress need to stay 1 more year.

How was Lillard a reach? I think he has performed well. Who was better on the board? Maybe Drummond, but I still think the jury is out on him.

i don't think he meant 'reached' the way you're thinking. He could've said 'grabbed Lillard because of need' for what he meant.

    i could be wrong though.

On draft day no one knew who was going to be productive or not. Lilliard was considered a reach in draft day because no one had him going that high at #6. I remember he was projected outside the top 9 at one point before draft day.

At one point before draft day, of course. I don't remember anyone here thinking he was a reach at the time as his value had increased throughout the process. Leading up to the draft I think most mocks even had him at 6 to Portland.

They didn't draft bpa is what I'm saying. They reached for need at that moment. Espns draft Insider had Barnes Drummond and pj3 ahead of Lillard as far as the big board goes. Yea many ppl were predicting Portland to take him because of NEED. And that's the point I'm getting at. You don't always go bpa unless that guy is head n shoulders above the rest and is a guaranteed thing.

And I'm not saying anything about his performance cause he's obviously Roy. Dudes a straight baller.

Not taking anything away from lillard but I don't think he will get too much better, I think if rivers stayed until his season year and compare numbers rivers would blow him away and is better on d

Potential is def there now lets hope he reaches it. See no reason he can't. Not sure why u think Lillard won't get any better tho. Is he already just that good? Lol.dude is a baller and he can def improve his defense and decision making. Will come with time tho.

He's got some inconsistencies but he's young. He's a total freak and in our situation he's the obvious choice if he's on the board.

Gordon for whatever we can get in the summer, sign a SF and we're sitting PRETTY.
