Currently tied for 3rd worst with Phoenix.

We have a really tough schedule to finish out the year:

    vs GSW - Loss
    vs Boston - Loss
    vs Memphis - Loss
    vs Denver - Loss
    vs LAC - Loss
    vs Miami - Loss
    vs Cleveland - Win
    @ GSW - Loss
    @ Utah - Loss
@ Phoenix - Loss (away game)
    @ LAL - Loss
@ SAC - Loss (away game)
    vs LAC - Loss
    vs DAL - Loss
    @ DAL - Loss

I picked the ones we should lose just based on paper, so that would put us finishing 1-14. Obviously, we might get lucky and win an extra game or 2, but that is still a vary tough schedule.

I'm guessing 3-12 with wins against GSW today, Cleveland, and Sac.

Man, I'm glad I only bet $200 on over 26.5 wins this year. This team sucks *****+0le come crunch time.

15 games left. You don't think they can go 5-10? 9 of those are at home.

I know but I think we play like 7 in a row at home. Just seems favorable. I hope we lose them all.

Edit: yea just looked at it again. Our home games are the tough games. So doesn't look good .

It's tough rooting for the win during the game but then a loss once that clock hits 0.

After the 3 games we have given away in the last week or two, absolutely not. I look at it as a win win I guess. Either I win 200, or the Pelicans have a great shot at a top 3 pick. We need a scorer in the worst way and lets hope Monty doesn't bench him in the 4th for Roger Mason or some other ****ty veteran.

I'm gonna go with a surprise and say we beat Miami at home. If Gordon can D up wade and Aminu limit lebron then we can pull it off, I think we match up alright with the heat defensively. Chalmers is slow, GV shouldn't have too many issues.

I only hope that they score 100 at the clipper game. I want my fries.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

Technically yes. The Suns are playing the Lakers as we speak. We are in sole position of 3rd if Phoenix wins, still tied for 3rd if the Lakers win.

Phoenix put the smack down on the Lakers. Big win for us!

So yes, sole place for 3rd.

Oh wow u serious? that is awesome! but with kyrie out i dont see them winning another game all year...
our real competition is for 3rd worst, no way we catch up with the bobcats or magic, we are too far ahead, but hey i am fine with 3rd, mclemore, noel, smart, porter, bazz? Im cool

if history is any indication having the most chances doesn't give you the #1 pick

Most definetley and i was thinking that as i typed my last post, if we finish as the 3rd worst team historically we have a good chance of landing the #1 pick, and worst case scenario we get the 4th pick, im not gonna complain lol, as long as we take BPA besides a PF im happy! I do have a feeling though that we are gonna take noel if he is there, if not i see us trading back and taking alex len and putting us in a better spot next year to land one of the stud SF's and signing a decent SF for next season like budinger

the race is pretty much close from 3-9

    You really think Noel?

    I can't see this happening.
Noel will need another 2-3 years to fill out at the C position and Davis is supposed to play at that spot.
This team doesn't need two lanky guy's fighting for the one position.

Unless of course they have gone back on what they fisrt thought and are going to play Davis at the 4.
But why did they pay to get Anderson?

Either way I'd be very happy with BPA.

But I am hoping the Pelicans pick in this order:

    1. Ben Mclemore
    2. Marcus Smart
    3. Shabazz Muhammad
    4. Otto Porter
    5. Victor Oladipo
    6. Trey Burke
    7. Nerlens Noel
    8. Alex Len
    9. Cj McCollum
    10. Anthony Bennette

So just because we signed Ryno, that means Davis is supposed to play center? Atleast someone finally explained why they thought we picked him to be our future center, but I completely disagree. AD and Noel would be an insanely talented 4-5 combo in the next 2 or 3 years. We paid Anderson because we need scoring and a legit 3 point shooter, and that's what he gives us. If we draft an impactful PG or SF instead of a center then Vasquez or Aminu would go back to the second unit instead of starting. We need scoring and three point shooting on our second unit, just like we do on our first unit. Now i'm not saying we intended on Ryno playing on the second unit primarily when we signed him. But were gonna play him where he fits. What i'm trying to say is, I think we could easily manage a big rotation of AD, Ryno, and Noel. They could all get around 25-30 minutes a game and guard who they matchup with best. I think drafting Noel would solidify our frontcourt for the future and make it elite. There would also be times when we could have all three on the floor. Like Guru and others above stated, it would not speed up the rebuild and we would probably be lottery bound again next year, but with next year's class I would be okay with that. By then, hopefully Austin Rivers would have grown into a very good young PG and Vasquez could back him up. I think that would be a championship caliber team in 4-5 years. I know alot of people are tired of the lottery and losing, but we are just going to have to be patient. Rebuilds almost always take more than 2 offseasons. If Noel is BPA then we should draft him without thinking twice.

I don't think Pelicans would go for Noel only because that would be too redundant from Davis
