I would stay away from Noel. He's basically Davis without the jumpshot and touch around the basket. He's a little stronger and taller so him being the 5 while Davis plays the 4 seems like a decent pairing however we would have no offensive post presence for the foreseeable future. When you factor in the fact that nobody knows what they are getting with Noel after his surgery I would avoid him unless he dropped out of the top ten.
I would take Noel if I knew that he could develop into something. There is nothing wrong with having a solid big in your 2nd unit.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.
well with noel averaging 10.5pts 9.5rebs and 4.4blocks if davis keeps developing his post game and jumpshot and really turns into the next duncan or KG Noel would be like our drummond or enforcer, he might be an even better shot blocker than davis, i could see in 3 years we could have our own tim duncan david robinson combo, then if we could somehow trade GV and lopez for wilson chandler and sign someone like al jefferson and augustin we would be golden
rivers/augustin
gordon/mason
chandler/aminu
davis/ryno
jefferson/noel
that team looks like it could dominate in 2 years
Shabazz seems like a really, really selfish teammate. As in, one of the most selfish I've ever seen. I've watched him nonstop in this game, and he seems to only be concerned with putting up points for himself. On the last play before the timeout he didn't get the ball and he slapped his hands and looked angry about it (and he was not open, it would've just been for a post up). He also missed an open player on the fastbreak because he was too busy dribbling with his head down, and doesn't put his all on D. Add what I'm seeing right now to the fact he pouted after teammate won the game instead of him and that his coach already has said he's going to the draft, and I really have concerns about his intangibles and his teammate ability.
Randy foye
Brandon rush
Nick young
Ronnie brewer
Shannon brown
Gerald Henderson
Jodie Meeks
Lance Stephenson
All would be good options
I can honestly say that I've been unimpressed by every potential prospect's performance in their respective conference tournaments. Hopefully the NCAA Tournament will bring the best in them. On a good note for me at least, my Tar Heels are playing great and will play against Miami virtually at home. P.J. is an absolute BEAST playing with two stitches in non-shooting hand that happened in play game before.
And I disagree with a few on this board who thinks Len is draft worthy pick for us, especially with the way we're ending the season. Len cannot out perform McAdoo in the C position where others continuously this season abused him (Miami, Duke, Indiana).
No one will care about conference tourneys once the big dance sparks off.
"Get this money." What a cool guy
I very much enjoy Henderson's game, but if somebody is to complain about Shabazz's game they would absolutely hate Henderson's game. The guy has basketball ADHD. The entire team could be setting up a play, passing the ball to find the open man, and as soon as it touches Henderson's hands (rather than passing to the open man) he shoots it within half a second of catching the ball. If think he averages like 2 or 3 more 3 pt attempts than anyone else in the NCAA. He is averaging 3.9 made 3's of 10.9 attempted a game. All that said... I would still like to have him on our team from a comical standpoint. He may be nothing more than an end of the bench player, but he would be like bringing a "Saturday Night Special" into a war.
I wouldn't like Al Jefferson on this team. The guys defense is garbage. You know Utahs team defense improves from 112 to 103 when he is off the court. His offensive game ranks for 19th best among centers. Right now he is trading more on name than substance. Pass on him unless it is for a friendly contract (sub $9mil).
Yeah it was definitely more of a joke. And he'll go too late unless we traded down. But the kid can flat out shoot, and if you saw yesterday, he showed that if he can ever be coached he can flat out pass as well. He had some crazy dishes to the open man near the rack yesterday. Also, at the end of the game he had his way dribbling through about 7 guys before they got frustrated and fouled him. He's like a successful Austin Rivers (although he can actually use his left hand and prefers going to his left). A master cutter. Too bad he's such a hot dog.

Don't get me wrong, I would take him with a second round pick, and I imagine that a player so fearless with the rock, he could probably stick around in the league for a few years.
If we had the number 1 pick we should draft...... MARSHALL HENDERSON. "Get this money"$$$

Anybody keeping an eye on Hairston for unc??? My goodness this kid is a balled and I think we will see his draft stock rise quick!!! Dude has been str8 ballin as of late. He is a nice sg with excellent driving n finishing skills. With his 3pt shot that is on the money he seems like a good prospect. He's playing with 5 stitches in his hand n has hit 5 3s already for unc today vs Miami n still lots of time in 2h to go.
