I don't disagree with you, but there aren't may perfect fathers out there....and that's probably what he was at that very moment.....a father, albeit a less than perfect one....I know I have been there before when it came to my kids and how I felt they were being treated....

My fault, sleepy brain last night. That screw up is on me

I read a comment on NOLA.com where somebody said that Monty has screwed AD out of the ROY award with this sparse minutes and Monty only playing AD for 2 seconds reminded me of Byron Scott's refusal to play those two (now gone) players.

Like I said, I was sleepy. I made a stupid post that was a mix up of random thoughts, sleepiness and aggravation. It's on me.

I watched the game today and I was mad at the end. This lose was pretty much all on monty's shoulders. He's {edit-language} incapable of making adjustments during the game, mainly when the game is on the line or you have to stop the opponent's comeback.

It's unacceptable that Davis didn't play in the 4rth for Anderson or Lopez. Imo it had to be for Anderson cause he was barely touching the ball and he was missing the ones he had or making turnovers.
Aminu had to play the entire game guarding Kobe, in which head takes place that Mason should defend him.
I was almost screaming for rivers to replace greivis hero baller vasquez in the 4th but didn't know he got injured.
Now let's talk about vasquez. This guy is already pissing me off. Someone needs to tell him it's not necessary to chuck shot after shot when all hes doing is missing and hurting the Team. This or bench him in the 4th quarters.
I didn't take it too serious at the beggining, but now i just cant stand his ballhog/selfish way of play on the end of the games. Watching him holding the ball all the possessions and then chuck a bad shot is just depressing.
The ball has to move often, and Gordon MUST have the ball on his hand most of the time, especially in the 4th.
At the end of the game our defense let Kobe dunk it alone on a fastbreak and let meeks? shot a 3 totally alone on the left just because EVERYONE of our guys were giving his back to the ball and running to the right side? It was either Mason or vasquez fault. That was a clear sign of the lack of intensity and focus on the game. Bullcrap.

Look at Rivers and Roberts after Kobe passes the ball. SMH.

Roberts made the mistake I think... Why would he leave the double team when that was his man? I'm lost.

I don't think Rivers was supposed to leave because he was already guarding kobe. you don't leave YOUR man... the guy that did the double-teaming is the one that has to get back to HIS man.

But it was one of the many defensive breakdowns in that game. They're young.

Edit--- OK I rewatched it and noticed Roberts was caught on Kobe. My thought on that is Rivers should have made the switch there's no way you leave Roberts on Kobe. Not that AR was that much of a better matchup, but he was a better matchup on kobe than Roberts was.

    But hey you learn.

I guess Rivers was supposed to trying to provide some help defense but when he ran away from Kobe he didn't even run back to his own man which was Steve Blake. He didn't look like he knew where he was supposed to be at all. It's like he forgot who he was guarding prior to going help Roberts with Kobe.

Why does he need to stay professional? He's not employed by the Hornets or the NBA. Was he cursing in front of children? Was he wildly flailing his arms around endangering others?

And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

    Interesting!

Some other people have other conspiracy theories about the game.....quite funny.

    March 7, 2013 at 8:02 am

I didn’t see the game (just hightlights), but that Laker-Hornets game was A JOKE!!

Lakers make biggest comeback in their history since 2002??????????

    Came back from 30-points down?

LUCK is going to run out.

They deserved to lose to the Hornets. But guess what? You think it was fixed in that 4th quarter? I believe so. Maybe it’s just a conspiracy theory … but what if it isn’t?

Notice (in the highlights) when Jody Meeks was WIDE WIDE WIDE OPEN. It looked like all 5 Hornet defenders were on the other side of the paint, hovering around the three-point line on the other wing. AS IF they left him this wide open ON PURPOSE.

THE GAME WAS FIXED!! THE 4TH QUARTER WAS FIXED!!! Hornets gave away the game in that 4th quarter (why? who knows?). They let the Lakers comeback and win the game. SO OBVIOUS! Hornets didn’t play for real in that 4th quarter.

SHENNANIGANS!! SHENNANIGANS!! FIXED!! FIXED!! LAKERS CHEATED!! HORNETS LET THEM WIN!!

    March 7, 2013 at 8:16 am

Also notice when Lopez weakly went up for the dunk attempt, as if allowing Howard to block it. ON PURPOSE.

He let Howard block his dunk attempt.

    FIXED! FIXED!

Howard secretly asked Lopez to let him block his dunk to make him look good in the highlights?

Not a real block. Not a spectacular block. Howard trying to market his currently defunct defensive skills.

    FIXED! FIXED! NOT REAL! SHENNANIGANS!

He's not a player, he's a father. If someone overhears him venting than so what?

New Orleans Hornets Coach Monty Williams says he could have managed things differently against Lakers

With the advantage of hindsight and more than 36 hours of reflection following Wednesday night's haunting fourth-quarter meltdown in a 108-102 loss to the Lakers, New Orleans Hornets Coach Monty Williams admitted Friday he'd do things differently if he had the chance.

And one thing Williams said he might do would be to play rookie power forward Anthony Davis a little more than the 25.5 seconds Davis logged as Los Angeles outscored New Orleans 33-9 in the period and closed out the game on a 20-0 run over the last 6:47.

"I would do things differently in the third quarter, when it started to snowball," Williams said, mindful that his team had a 25-point lead at one point in that period. "Any time you lose a game like that, hindsight is 15/20. You feel bad about everything you did. I probably would do some things a little differently.

"Probably (playing Davis more). I know that's what you're getting to. I probably would have played him more. But I'm still torn between taking Ryan (Anderson) out because he spaces the floor, and I don't care what anybody says: I'm not putting Anthony on Dwight Howard in that situation. Now in a pinch, I probably could have done it a couple of times, but hindsight is always a lot clearer. And when you have the lead you don't expect to lose it the way we lost it. Yeah, I'm sure I probably would have done some things differently."

After taking an unscheduled day off from practice Thursday, the Hornets hit the gym hard Friday before their flight to Memphis where Saturday night they'll face the Grizzlies, before returning to New Orleans for a Sunday night game against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Learn from your errors, Monty. Instead of constantly repeating them hoping for a different outcome. Only way I'll ever trust you again.
