What move that you made, or did not make, do you regret the most?
2001 NBA Draft.
I won picks #3 and #4 but i traded them for Shawn Marion and a pick that turned to be Jason Richardson. Marion is a journeyman in our simulated world and Richardson cant guard a chair. I couldve taken Gilbert Arenas and Joe Johnson had i stood pat and added them to Dirk.

For me it's not resigning Stephen Jackson.
As commish I have an advantage in that I know what others are offering in FA, but I like to get my own number and not go above that. Tray offered a whole lot more than I did and signed SJax. A season later he's averaging 27 a game.
Mine would be breaking up the grant hill and Shaq duo before getting much talent around them. Shaqs cap figure was crippling for new talent though. With him and hill I was like 5 mill off the threshold. It was MLE or bust.
Another regret was signing Eric Snow to that contract extension. I probably should be more patient in general w my teams.
"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

I don't fully regret Iverson yet, but I'll revisit that for next season.
I do however regret not tacking on the 12.5% for Fortson. Him and Iverson were beasts on my team, and I let him go largely because of a stupid mistake. Gave up the only upside to having his bird years.
Getting in a bidding war for Etan Thomas.
Trading away Kelvin Cato and Brent Barry for draft picks after the first season.
Trying to make Wally Z a full-time starting forward.
Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams
Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston
I do not regret anything yet. I have been a masterful GM thus far.![]()
Drafting Chauncey in the first round of the original sim. He should have been a third round pick and if I had drafted miller or Brandon, Im pretty sure I would have won 2 championships in the first couple years.. Instead I had to start speedy Claxton and my team couldn't go far in the playoffs.
He told me how terrible of a decision it was to draft webber over and over then if I gave him more picks in original draft and my first rounder for next year hed giveme dirk to help me correct my mistake.
I'm guessing I regret Eddie Jones but at the time I thought I'd be able to go over the cap to resign Marshall and after signing BD I nearly executed my FA plan to perfection after winning the title unfortunately I was the example to learn from about rejecting offers and bird rights.

Don't really have regrets, I feel like I've put a lot of thought into my moves and for the most part they've worked out, and the ones that didn't were miniscule and don't matter. One thing I always wondered about is if I had kept Baron Davis from the original draft. Me and BSH already had struck deals and decided to stick to them, but Baron Davis was the next guy on my list. He ended up taking him with my pick, and it's just one of those things I always wondered how Brand and Davis would have been together. It ended up working out though, got Jamison who underperformed until he was traded to PHX and got Zo in return which has worked out pretty well so far

Not really. I'm actually impressed with the moves you made. I remember your first season. I was dying to get Jamison at SF from you to join Sheed and Cassell. I tried hard too offering Brad Miller, Mobley, and 2 1st round picks. You made the smart move getting Zo. How'd you get Brand?
Oh ok.
My original draft was pretty good. Got alot of good veterans. I didn't even look at the ratings. I strictly went by the actual win shares of those players in the 2000-2001 season. Worked out well that season until Sheed broke his wrist right before the playoffs started. That team was one perimeter scoring from making a championship run. Sigh, good times.
How can you hate anyone who gave us this?

Whoa whoa that was Zack Moore, it clearly states it at the bottom, not LoCo, devilishly handsome and successful(ish) GM of the Memphis Grizzlies. But I can see the confusion lol
Since you're bringing this up, if anyone has any ideas for articles they want done for their team, I may be interested in doing more of these longish types of articles if possible. Just want ideas and inputs from other GMs to make it more collaborative. I'm also thinking about doing a fictional story on how we ended with this league (ex: total collapse of the actual NBA leads to formation of HRFBB version of the League) for ****s and giggles but thats just more of a hobby piece
