Screw the tank. Screw Otto Porter. Screw Shabazz Muhammad.

I'd love nothing more than to beat the Lakers tonight.

I always hate when the Lakers come to town because of all the casual fans who come in their Lakers jerseys and cheer rather loudly for the Lakers..I HATE IT, especially because I know that wouldn't EVER happen in the Superdome.

In the mid/late 90s, when a certain red and gold team came to town, it happened alright.

I would assume its because we have a team here?
Typically you support the team that has your city / state's name on it.... (maybe thats just me though)
Now if they are transplants from L.A. that's one thing. BUT....
I willing to bet most are born and raised here and just "love Kobe". I think that would qualify as bandwagon.
"Do whatcha wanna" just don't get upset when someone mentions the word bandwagon.

I have a lot of friends who were fans of the Lakers growing up before we had a team. Is it bandwagoning for them? If a friend is my age, that means he was 18 when the Hornets moved here. That's a lot of time to become invested in your favorite team. I don't know why it would be required for him to stop rooting for the Lakers and start rooting for the Hornets.

Who cares what people label other people as fans? Call it bandwagon call it hardcore, what does it matter? If people have started loving the Hornets since the playoff series against Dallas or when the name changes, does that they mean they're any less or more of a fan? What if the said Laker fan buys season tickets for the Hornets, watches them and the Lakers?
What if they have Hornets gear and Lakers gear ?

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"
