I'd like to package GV and lopez for a better center and draft porter, so yes. Kind of

  2. #502
I would package Gordon and Vasquez for a sf, and then draft Trey Burke.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

Guessing u would have rivers at SG? Me no like

  4. #504
I would have Rivers on the bench, and sign a legit 2 guard that isn't built like a Jaguar (always in the shop).

  5. #505
I still want porter, legit 2 way SF offensively and defensively and rebounding

I think you have to entertain any trade that may help your team, and that you shouldn't entertain one that doesn't. (obviously)

That said, i'm with you in that I find it completely foolish to be actively TRYING to trade anyone, unless of course: A.) that player is overpaid for their production, or B.) their contract is up soon and you don't expect them to/want them to re-sign due to their expected pay raise.

the only players that you mentioned that those two rules could apply to would be Gordon - in the future it could turn out that he is overpaid, but that is yet to be determined, and in that case would be based on lack of play due to injury - and Vasquez - the latter rule could apply to Vasquez, theres the reasonably likely possibility he may garner more than we're willing to pay.

so basically i would say vasquez and lopez are expendable if we can get back a nice player at a position of need or a decent 2013 or 2014 first rounder, and vasquez can also be dealt next year if we don't wish to extend him.

    and yes i like porter

Those ppl that are worried by Rivers' shooting form are going to be trippin over this though

Anyone else wouldn't mind Shabazz? I think the guys talent is something good but his demeanor is intensely strong. I think his attitude and drive alone will make him a good player in the future. Not a superstar but possibly a 20 PPG player that fights for you every night. He would fit this team but can he play sf? His fire reminds me a little of D West.

With the league changing to smaller quicker players I think yes he could def play the SF

Especially with Monty's system where he switches all the time, and he doubles down in the post. A quicker SF would really fit his system well.

I quite like him, people question his motor and passion but the 5 or 6 games and even more extended highlights I have seen show him hustling alot. Chad Ford also has been referring to him as an MKG clone (I think chad's taken to the bottle and has just seen the fact he is a leftie 3 as he is a far superior scorer, shooter and ball handler than MKG) If porter and smart are gone for me, Bazz and Burke are a wash

He reminds me NOTHING of MKG

That said, I'm warming up to Bazz. I like his release on the wing and he does play with a lot of energy. I think he could be a solid 16/6 guy at 3 and that's what we need.
    Wherehappens.

I would package GV but not Lopez. Lopez is a great contract and playing the best ball of his life. He is showing how good he can be when given starter minuets, and it's very good play. He is one of the contracts (along with Smiths) that allow us to do what we want in Free Agency, while not having to worry about finances.

GV and Gordon can be shipped, but keep the guys on cap friendly contracts.

Let me say i am the biggest otto porter lover and want him but after watching alex Len completely dominate plumlee who is up for player of the year I'm really starting to think, he put up 21 pts 9 Rebs and 3 blocks vs him. He is 7"1 and his offensive game is just getting better and better and they are saying he is the next Marcia gortat, centers are hard to find, if we could find a way to trade GV and lopez for someone like Wilson chandler I would be all for drafting this kid.

He also dominated noel for 23 pts 12 Rebs 4 blocks, if ur 7"1 have his offensive skillset, can out rebound a super athlete in Noel and get 4 blocks that is an extremely rare and skilled center, this kid has every tool to be dominant

They are saying he has the tools to be elite on both sides of the court and even has a nice 17 ft jumper, he is a natural shot blocker his only knock they said was stamina but that is easily fixed, hope we get him

Here is for info on him

Well you have to think if they draft Len or Zeller it's pretty obvious that they'd be looking to move Lopez or Lopez/GV for other pieces so I wouldn't hate it. Both of those guys have massive potential and there is nothing wrong with putting together a mean young front court.

Drafting Len and signing Brewer would be very smart. If they could get back into the first and snag Burke.... Oh lordy you'd see me doing backflips.

I'm not a fan of Glen Robinson III. He needs another year in school.

I was wondering, or rather curious, why there has been no chatter at all about the possibility of Len being drafted by us. I would be interested to get others' perspectives as well.

I'm just not a huge fan. I like Zeller and Noel more than Len if we're looking for a 5 to Pair with Davis for our future. But there's 7 or 8 players I hope we take over Len so that's why I rarely bring him up. I think most on the board feel the same way.

Found only one Hornets mention in today's Chad Ford chat.

    Chris (ky)

Would the hornets take Noel if he fell to them?
    Chad Ford (1:29 PM)

I don't think so. I don't think he and Anthony Davis are a great fit together. I see them with a Marcus Smart or maybe an Otto Porter type.

I'm totally fine with that and think it will probably happen

If that is the case I think we really should go after Pek though. Some sort of FA move needs to happen.

    For my enjoyment.
