I think Monty is trolling you guys. He isn't listening to you guys and your advice of sitting GV.
I do think Grevis is legit (top 15-20 matter of fact), but I am not trolling you. Just bringing a different side to the argument.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.
Nice work guys! Especially in the 2 half (69 points from very good Magic team) Our fans should be pleased
It's also nice time to lose a game vs team like Orlando - now we gonna sell a lot of season tickets![]()
Vasquez's strengths do not compensate for his weaknesses.
I don't understand how you still fail to see that...
"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."
I really want to draft porter and trade GV and lopez for a quality center and let gordon be our pg, only problem is who is a realistic person we could trade GV and lopez for? McGee maybe? Wonder if we could do GV and lopez and cash or something for vucevic
That what tanking means. You play good for a while and then the game "slips away from you." Then all the player and coach's excuses are meant to confuse the fans and media into thinking the other team had a phenominal night with superhuman efforts while our shots just wouldn't drop.
I don't think GV is the greatest player to walk the earth. I just see a lot of people bashing the man,and many times it is just because he isn't someone else (not because of his play). The guy is in his 3rd year and performing well past someone in his situation is. He had a bad game last night. Wasn't the first time he or anyone else on this team did that . We are are young team. He is a you player. In our list of problems on the season he isn't even in the top 10.
He isn't, but his defense is in the top 3 for sure.![]()
UNO have you heard the type of comments Monty has made about Greivis? Go back and find what he said after the Utah game. And then keep in mind Greivis' play has regressed since then. I'd be willing to bet Monty is far from happy with Greivis as the starting PG.
And I keep hearing you say he didn't have a good game last night. He had 17 points, 8 assists, on 41% shooting, and 4 turns. Yet on the season he's averaging 14 points, 9 assists, on 43% shooting, and 3 turns.

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

AD do you remember a guy by the name of Marcus Thornton?
If Monty had a problem with Grevis he would have had no problem benching him in favor of the "pg of the future" Rivers. Monty will play rookies all day, but obviously his comments towards GV are more in the sense of somebody expecting better play out of a guy who he knows he can get better play from. Funny how GV draws the ire of Monty but Monty won't pull him. Obviously he sees something many here don't.
Who is he going to replace him with? Brian Roberts? Austin Rivers who is just starting to get consistent minutes at PG? Your argument has no ground.
And who on this team has played good defense? Probably a half if not more of this current roster are poor defensive players, and why are they still playing? Well again, who else is he going to play? Is he going to start hand picking fans out of the stands to fill out a five man lineup? Doubtful.
And I remember Thornton quite well, and I remember the reason he didn't play and was later traded had more to do with his maturity than his ability.
So Monty has been playing GV because he is scared to play Rivers? Good luck on selling "Rivers is our pg of the future" after that comment.
The team does play bad def. but people here talk about GV as if he is the reason our def stinks. It's team def. not just GV def.
Thornton had all the talent in the world but wouldn't play def. go look up threads from those days. Monty will sit you if you don't play def
Like I said, Monty makes those comments as a man who knows what he has in a certain player, and is disapointed he isn't getting it. He sees something in GV many here don't.
If Vasquez could prevent his man from just walking into the lane at will, maybe our defense wouldn't be running around trying to recover.
Austin Rivers and Eric Gordon (more recently) have shown the potential to prevent their main from just blowing by them, and our defense looks much better because our big men can stay and box out for the rebounds. When our bigs rotate to help the guards or whatever we almost always leave another big man open under neath the basket.
Also Vasquez's annoying new habit of screaming "3 SECONDS!" while under the basket holding the opposing team's big is just stupid. Maybe instead of giving the guy a hug, he should fight for position like the much smaller Austin Rivers...
I want him gone just because I'm so sick of these arguments![]()
It's going to suck when GV leaves and we still have these problems of people being dissatisfied with our pg play. Like every pg post CP3 has to be top 5 or they are the reason we stink.
