"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

Not fast. Faster. Just Faster than you do now. I wouldn't want Iverson or Dirk sitting around in a Half court offensive or defensive set for 23 out of every 24 seconds. Iverson or Dirk just aren't nor have ever been half court slow paced players. Wallace, IMHO, would be just as good in a faster pace.
My team sucks, but when the game is slowed down and we are allowed to get into our defensive sets we can keep the game closer. Kenyon had 10 blocks and 21 rebounds. We held your team to 29.5% shooting. And 7 fewer FGA. There is no way that happens if the pace is picked up.
how about we dont let anyone(except the commish) get access to this numerical values, seems more fair, and less work for the commish.
I don't mind the work.
It's when people start PMing me for EVERY rating that the work gets to large though. I personally couldn't tell you the jump rating or strength rating of any of my players. That sort of thing.
But if someone PM's me and asks "can I get the jump shot, perimeter defense, and drive defense rating for so and so" then I'm more than happy to get that for them.
That would be good in theory but considering the commish's record, someone somewhere would always look at that and bring it up as some kind of conspiracy. I think everyone should be able to see theirs. Start a new thread. And if you want your ratings, request them in the thread. That way commish won't have to waste his time getting that info for teams who don't ask for it. I think this would solve this little problem.
I'm not always active, but I do my legwork based on the statistical values that are available on the index. It's not in the instruction manual that these numbers are available. I'm sure a lot of people would have done their max money deals differently had they known that a guy wasn't the letter rating on the only thing we have as reference.
I based my gameplan this season solely on the ratings and its helped. I don't beat the good teams but I beat the teams I should beat consistently.
Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams
Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston
I dunno man, i think it'll be a lot of work, like right now im itching to ask you almost all the stats of Vujacic and Hart to see who should I start over the other. Also the stats of my 3 big men Baker, White and Wilcox, being in the lower half of the league in BPG i would want to know how they fare against each other defensively.
thats just for my team. now imagine 27 other teams asking you for those kind of rating every after sim day when they tinker with their lineup.
AND were not yet in the playoffs, I'd also be asking you about the ratings of the players in my series for matchup problems. I put Kobe at SF last playoffs thinking he'll be able to stop Lebron and Jamison because he has an A+ defense.
because we cant do anything about it, he can look at them anyway even if we forbid him not to(not accusing here, no offense commish), we just have to live with thatThe Commish has a historically good team. Why would him being the only one to see rating be fair though?
AD is there any way these numbers could be viewed in the same way we see all the letter ratings? I'm assuming if there was you would have done it already. But I think all the ratings are important for every player. Defense ratings are of course very important at every position. Handling ratings are important as well. That would give the GM a better way to know if their team would be suited for a fast pace or not. And shooting of course and so on.
All the ratings are just as important as the next when trying to fix problems and make adjustments.
It's not just the letter rating. I've stated every time that training comes up that each letter rating is made up of a few different numerical values. That player may be great in one aspect but completely suck in another.
In complete honesty, I've only used it once. That was when training Nazr Mohammed. (That worked out crappy). I prefer to let my very amateur advanced stats tell me what I need to know. Btw, I really wish the index would notate defensive and offensive rebounds.

Also with the free trainings of the rookies with B and A rating available, you'll get around 30 more PMs asking for these rookie's stats
