And that is an improvement from the dog vomit he was at the start of the season. Maybe by years end he will be below avg.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.
Establishing a winning culture and convincing free agents that we have the potential to make a run in the playoffs is much more important than getting a better draft position in a very weak class. I'm getting less upset over each loss as our 7-2 run a month ago gets further and further away, but even objectively, people should be pulling for us to win. This coming from someone that got upset when we won late last season.
I understand the logic of it, but I just can't pull for this team (or any that I'm a fan of) to lose. Last night is a classic example, That was very much a winable games even with our shooters taking ice baths. Seems Monty turned to defense off in the 2nd half and I was impressed with how they contained Irving in the first, even at the expense of letting Waiters get his shots. I know it does us no good to win it, but still.
This team plays to win every game... problem is we still lack that one dude we can give the ball to and finish games.
One thing that's becoming obvious to me is that regardless of whether Gordon is on the floor or not... if Ryan Anderson struggles the team will struggle to win. Even with Kyrie's game last night if Ryno hits a few more shots we win that game.
As for tanking... there's no reason to tank because there are no "AD's" in this draft... and the team with the most losses hasn't won the lottery in a while.
So play to win and see what happens.
I've hoped that we would tank from the beginning. Next season I'll hope for wins.
SIGN A SF
I don't think anyone is rooting for them to lose, they just aren't bummed if they lose. That's how I'm looking at it. I'm watching, wanting to win, wanting the guys to play good, but if we lose, no depression sets in as brighter days are ahead, with another top draft pick in the next draft.
I do love when you guys roll out picks of Tanks though. Cracks me up. lol
We need guys who can stay with their man for 1 or 2 dribbles. That was the problem last night.
Irving would put the ball on the floor 1 time and he would already be by his man. After that the help has no time to get there.
Like I said Backas few months ago that we would finish in bottom 5 territory n got ripped by someone on here that's here no longer posting at this time. We will wind up from the looks of the schedule with 10 more wins max....maybe 7...but I still see us finishing in the bottom 3-5...I think Cleveland,Washington, and Sacramento will finish above us which would put as at 3rd or 4th worse which is a good spot to be in for the draft. I think a lot of ppl r under estimating this draft this coming year. My goodness I'm having dreams of drafting mclemore!!!!! If not then I'm officially on the smart bandwagon and off the carter Williams wagon. I think mclemore has superstar written all over him!!!! Anyways I root for my hornets to win during the game but at this point I'm not disappointed with a loss for very long afterwards. I still get pissed off n scream at these guys thru the tv but I also understand the need to get a high draft pick next year which is the case when rebuilding.
3 way tie for 4th.
Take your time coming back AD. We know what we have in your and it will only cause us to win more games.
Tied for 4th now, nice, Porter/Shabazz/Smart here we come...
