    all that from Curry and the Warriors lost
    "The pelican is fearsome. Take a raven, for example: it's omnivorous. It eats bugs, and seeds, and fruit, and carrion. Compared to the well-rounded citizen that is the raven, the pelican is the serial killer of birds." - Barry Petchesky, Deadspin

    Its all good guys who thought we had a snowball's chance tonight? Even if we had our full squad... the way OKC shot tonight we still lose by 20. We might be the most un-athletic team in the league we are further away from contending than I though.

    We are very un-athletic. If we don't target athletic players through draft or free agency, Monty and Dell may both loose their jobs.

    Tyson Chandler finished tonight with 28 rebounds. The New Orleans Hornets finished with 25 ... as a team.

    Geaux Tyson!

    People will talk about Curry, but to get 28 boards...that's just too rare.
    If you Jimmer it, they will come.

    I miss Tyson Chandler.

    Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

    Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

    Only people that deserve to come back next season:

    Davis
    Anderson
    Lopez
    Smith
    Aminu
    Rivers

    The rest can be moved or let walk. I'm tired of watching our team look like they run with cement shoes.

    I agree with this list, but I would add Miller too.

    It amazes me how poeple dog on Vasquez so much. The guy is playing his heart out this year. He's not the best point guard in the league, but he is more than serviceable. People are enamored with smith who is so overrated on this board, yet everyone wants to get rid of Vasquez when he has a bad game. The guy is 2nd in the leave in assists.

    Watch where his assists come from. He cannot pass in the PnR situations, and he hardly is able to see the lobs or cross court passes to the corner. HIs assists come from dumps to the post or Anderson 3 point shots. He may rack up 10 assists, but I think a player like Rondo who makes the players around him better and maybe only gets 8 assists is a better player. Assists does not equal wins.

    Did you listen to the Vasquez interview ?

    "I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

    Every assist comes from setting someone on your team up. Thus making them better. I don't follow your logic. He averages close to 10 assists a game on one of the least talented teams in the NBA

    People really just don't understand this.... It drives me nuts. Statistics are cool, but you have to use them, as a tool along with the film. That's why I say Gordon is a better passer, because he can actually hit guys off the PnR, and he can throw the lob and lead his teammates. Vasquez just can't, and people need to accept that. It makes him limited, and as a result, he will be a lifetime backup. That said, he holds value in that role.

    He is saying a trained monkey can get 2/3rds of the assists that Vasquez does just by passing to the open guy. He doesn't create for others, and that's a problem. He can't even create for himself...

    I truly can't agree with any of this. You guys are saying anyone can be plugged into our system and average 10 assists a game? You make it aound like his stats are easy to average. The guy is an above average point guard.

    I will take slow and consistent over quick and flashy. Monty knows what he has in Vasquez hence the reason he hasn't benched him or made a move to acquire a better pg. it's not like options aren't out there, and available for the taking. Demps and Monty just like what they have.

    Rondo is an assist monger as well. He's overrated and his team has played better without him, especially offensively since their ball movement is much better.

    Wow, I know Vasquez isn't 'all that' but some of you guys really try extra hard to disparage anything good he does.

    There will not be an asterisk next to his assists totals this season simply because Hornets fans aren't pleased with him.

    Sure, we could do better at the starting pg position but I'll bet we could do worse too.

    Vasquez does more harm than good in my way of thinking. He can make the greatest pass ever but I know in about 10 seconds he's definitely going to get burned on defense, and I think that legitimately every time.

    Vasquez is not the problem on this team. We have about 5 more positions to upgrade before pg

    I just want a PG to be able to pass in the PnR situation. Vasquez cannot do that. Watch the tape. Gordon is much better finess passers in the PnR situations, and Rivers has shown some instances of being able to lead AD or Lopez to the rim. I mean, Rivers threw a lob for AD off the PnR. Vasquez rarely sees that or he just chooses to shot that floater.

    Yes, you can do worse, but what teams in the league that are serious contenders are sporting middle of the road PGs? Don't even name Miami because we all know Lebron is the PG in crunch time.

    Top PGs

    San Antonio = Spurs
    Miami = Lebron
    Clippers = CPME
    Denver = Ty Lawson
    OKC = Westbrook
    Golden State = Curry

    The only team that I consider with a legitimate shot at a title this year without a premier PG is the Knicks, but they rock the court with Anthony and Chandler.

    I'd take a premier PG to pair with our future premier PF. If we are going to run the PnR as the primary offense, I want a PG that will hit AD on the roll or for the mid range jumper. I love Vasquez, but I'm just being real in his limitations, and I don't see us getting passed the top teams in the west with him starting. Sorry...

    In some regards yes, and in more regards, no. He gives up more than he gets, and his best quality (passing) is limited. He can't defend for crap, he can't run the break, and he can't run the PnR. As long as he is our starting PG, we will not be a championship calibre team.

    Dude.... Where have you been? Over the past week or so, Monty has been telling the media that he is frustrated and that there will be major changes next year. He said we don't have talent, so we have to play with energy. He said we will make major upgrades in FA, and he said a lot of guys on the team this year won't be here next year. Mondy and Dell absolutely don't "just like what they have."

    Also, supposedly, Demps tried to trade Vasquez at the start of the season, but it fell through.
