Refs...![]()
Aside from the fact that he couldn't even get the ball up the court with out either backing Collison down or stiff-arming him, the guy waves Gordon off on the last shot, and tries to take it himself resulting in an incredibly awkward iso-attempt where the ball slipped out of his hand as he shot it. It was quite embarrassing...
it wouldn't have been as bad if it was setting up a 2-for-1 situation... but it didn't... shot clock went off... the fact that the Hornets actually had :06.5 to try to do something is amazing
then Gordon got stripped and lost it on the sideline (though it did look like it went off a Mavs player but wasn't conclusive on replay)
"The pelican is fearsome. Take a raven, for example: it's omnivorous. It eats bugs, and seeds, and fruit, and carrion. Compared to the well-rounded citizen that is the raven, the pelican is the serial killer of birds." - Barry Petchesky, Deadspin
The type of offense we run, any PG can put up Greivis Vasquez numbers. Being 3rd in the NBA means nothing when you're at the bottom in team wins and you're a screwup in crunch time! Vasquez needs to stay in his place, he's not clutch!
trying to take the last shot and all. Enough is enough, Greivis has killed us in +6 clutch/last sec games this season, thinking he's a closer! He needs to be told to stop throwing up crazy shots and stop over dribbling and start passing the ball to his teammates in rythm, rather than his teammates REACHING for 80% of his passes! Assist are easy for a PG when his teammates sink three's or cutting to the goal for lobs & layups! Actually, if he was a better passer he would lead the league in assist. Basketball is about rythm & balance, cutting to the goal or coming off of screens! The Hornets offense is off balance!!!!!!
Refs were bad on both sides. No excuses!

Anyone else realize Gordon doesn't know how to pass on fast breaks? Like that give and go with Aminu that never happened because he euro stepped into a cluster **** and Aminu just watched, uncovered in the lane.
Please tell me someone saw this. Monty was pissed.
Yeah. I disagree he's the best passer on the team. Not that he's for much competition.
"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

It was sick. Aminu was WIDE OPEN.
IT WAS A GIVE AND FREAKING GO.

Greivis Vasquez
That's not saying much, givin the Hornets talent! He sucks and he lacks the average IQ for a basic PG in the NBA. With that said, give the ball up in crunch time. He's ranked 3rd in the NBA in assist, not points nor last second shots! He's not a closer...PERIOD!
It was one of the worst 55 sek in Hornets history.... and it was enough to lose this game... OMG...![]()
Gordon is the best passer on the team, no question IMO. He sees things that Vasquez doesn't. He can fit the ball where Vasquez can't. Did you see him actually hit AD on a high PnR? That lead to 2 points, and I haven't seen it from Vasquez 1 time all year. Dude can't see the field, and he can't make the necessary passes. Move him at the end of this year, while he still has value (hopefully....).
I don't need what's the bigger need pg or sf .... Vasquez killed us with that terrible shot attempt
Dell Demps PLEASE get us some scorers!
That's true. Vasquez hardly ever passes on the PnR between the defenders. He always has to stop and pivot to throw back towards the free throw line.
People also like to think of Greivis as this good offensive scorer, but the truth is there are 19 PG's who score the same or more points per game than Greivis. Of those 19 pg's 8 play less minutes, 11 shoot a better percentage, 13 get to the ft line more per game, 16 shoot a better percentage when they get there.
