I really think when Jason Smith is healthy he is hands down a starting Center and perfect player next to Davis. He spreads the floor better than Lopez he is much quicker and a better defender. The only thing that knocked him before was his size and strength which I think is now a strength not a weakness anymore.

THIS is the Eric Gordon I know.

Why? Should he not be aggressive?

Idk. I like his efficiency off the bench. It gives us toughness and energy off the bench, plus his shot from the high post is money.

He is best suited coming off the bench with his high energy and emotion. His game is not what you want out of your starting center. I want someone who can bang down low.

I want someone who is mobile, can rebound, and has enough post moves and range that he has to be guarded.

I just think if we ever got rid of Lopez for value at another spot we will be fine. We cant ever afford a Max player next to Davis who will be one soon. Smith and Ryno along with a Star in Davis is enough to win a championship if we have pieces in other spots. That trio to me is enough if San Antonio can get it done with an old Ducan Splitter and Diaw haha

Monty rarely lets those two play together, and when they are on the floor together, Grevis is too, which means hero ball is on hardcore mode.

You described like 1-3 centers in the NBA lol. But I'm not saying what we currently have is acceptable, just Smith isn't the answer.

Wow! Gordon drops 20 in the first half and Davis is a rebound away from a double double in the first half.

I'll settle for one who is mobile with Aminu like range, then!

e: for real, though. A laterally quick Lopez is pretty much what I want.

I agree I love Lopez but I acknowledge that his P&R d is horrid and has 0 lateral movement.

    I can hear McNamara now.

Yeah, Gordon has 20 points, but he also only has 1 assist and 1 rebound.

The rebound thing is such stupid. I could care less if the shortest player on the floor is getting rebounds. Not to mention putting his body at risk in the paint...

I can here it now: Gordon is amazing. Why would we ever trade him?

My answer: Does Eric Gordon play tomorrow night? Nope... that's why. lol

That's exactly what he'll say. Once you're in his doghouse you can't do anything right.
