Thread: Broussard: Hornets Gauging Interest in Gordon {merged all of Gordon rumors}

Gordon's heart is in Phoenix, his body is at the doctors, so what are the Hornets paying for?
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

Close the door on Eric Gordon going to the Warriors for now, but don't nail it shut. As good as the Warriors have http://sulia.com/my_thoughts/27353fd...source=twitter
Don't, however, be surprised if Gordon talk involving the Warriors re-surfaces. When asked about whether a deal could be made that would send him to Golden State, a source said, "Maybe this summer."
Pretty much what alot have said.

I personally don't think a deal can be made this summer.

Either Gordon's going to kill his value or he'll raise it to the point where the Hornets don't feel the need to move him.

I almost have to wonder if Gordon is not dealt tomorrow if the Hornets should not bench him for the rest of the season. Why risk further injury or a new injury and ruin any trade ability we have left with him? Just send him off to further rehab his knee!

That doesn't do much to increase his value. You can say he's healthier, but what teams look at is on-court production and actually playing in games. If you don't trade him, you are obviously taking a risk with the knee, but it is a gamble small-market teams need to take. You have to hope he plays and plays well. In turn, that will increase his trade value and net us more in the long run.

I would love to trade Gordon for Klay Thompson but I don't know if the Warriors are going to do it. It would be nice to add him to the mix along with a scoring wing and a back-up scorer.

Demps is a quiet operator. I'm ready to see a little surprise tomorrow.

    I agree with that too.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

    Precisely what I'm afraid of.

"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."

I'm still of the belief that his days are numbered here.....here's hoping his value goes up....

Somebody made that mess up lol. Oh well... all we can do is hope this dude's knee... and hand... and back... and the next 3 ailments all heal over the summer. What a drag.

Yeah reports on ESPN insider this morning are that no team wants Gordon. Can't say I blame them given his injury history and exhorbitant salary.

Maybe that was the point, to show Gordon he's not viewed as an under appreciated asset oozing with potential. That no one else is interested.

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

How disappointing, hope we don't draft another guard or Eric will get his feelings hurt again. Maybe he can find his heart before the end of the season.

Deal with it. Gordon's a Hornet and will probably be a Pelican. I might have to avoid any threads with Gordon in the thread title from now on.
    Wherehappens.

Yeah, they're called the Golden State Warriors. The leaks seemed to mostly benefit them trying to depress Gordon's already depressed value. If they want a closer, which makes sense if Jack is that guy for them now, then Gordon and a 1st for Thompson, Barnes and a bad contract is actually a decent deal for both sides. It just is a non starter in the middle of a playoff run because it guts the SF position for them. But this summer when you can trade them a lottery pick and they can sign a SF, it might make more sense, especially if they lose Jack to FA and have no closer on the roster.
