Thread: Broussard: Hornets Gauging Interest in Gordon {merged all of Gordon rumors}

I seriously doubt GS gives up Klay AND Barnes? Just doesn't make sense.
But hell....i'd take Jefferson or Andres if they give up both?
    Just don't see it happening.

Seems like either we get screwed or they get screwed. Not seeing a very "fair" trade for both teams here?
Then again...they did trade for Bogut so who knows.

    Are you adding in Barnes?
Yeah, my bad on the confusion. I just thought it was understood.

He's aggressive and brings that element to a team where we don't have a lot of guys that can go to the basket...that being said, he isn't as good as he was. No way. He was on the verge of being the next DWade or DWade light, he is not near that level anymore. He's still a very talented guy, but not like he was, sorry it's a fact. Look at him with the Clips, dude has dunked like twice with the Hornets. Just saying people act like their is a big gap between the two players and their isn't. Different styles yeah, but how much the contribute is close. EG isn't the player he was.

I would LOVE!!! to get Thompson and Barnes for Gordon but obviously we'd have to give up more than Gordon and take on the bad contract of Biedrins or Jefferson.

So the question is what would you be willing to give up with Gordon if it meant getting Thompson and Barnes??

Man I think Thompson is a dead eye shooter but we should definitely wait till after the offseason to possibly trade him. Let him try to get some health back, if possible lol

That and if we are dumping Gordon and getting back equal salary... Gordon's contract would be on the books for next year anyway. We'd have the same amount of cap space

I guess they figure these might leave a better taste in their mouths than Gordon does.
LOL! We'd need to throw in AD if they're sending us some Chicken and waffle Lays.

I agree. But I think people just like the trade talk excitement. I guess

There is no way in hell the Hornets are getting Thompson AND Barnes for Gordon. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Even if Aminu were added to the deal it's not happening.

If a Gordon deal happens with Golden State it will be Gordon for Thompson/Biedrins or Thompson/Jefferson. My dream is Thompson/Bogut.

If the team is really worried about Gordons health then I would do this deal. Most is a future 20+ per game scorer and isn't a bad defender.

I don't want to do any move that kills our chances of getting Iggy this offseason...

Imagine iggy with this current roster.... its a thing of beauty. one of the best defensive players in the league with monty
    ooooohhhh lawd.

How would it screw anything up? We'd have the SAME cap space... Thompson+RJeff = Gordon

he is not a good defender at all. when clutch time on defense is needed klay thompson is on the bench for the warriors, he is slow and cant keep anything in front of him he is also not strong at all.

Iggy is overrated. We need veterans, but not any that we would have to break the bank for.... If we have to throw Lopez and eat salary to get Barnes in the proposed deal, I would do it in a second.

Then you are stuck without a starting caliber center now and for the forseeable future. You would be banking on us landing a quality FA or draft pick that can contribute right away. I don't like relying on something to happen. But that's just me.

  23. #323
I disagree. You guys are overrating Klay and Barnes. Iggy would be perfect for this team.
I feel like the addition of Iggy puts us into contention immediately with our current build. Just my opinion though.

Turn to ESPN radio. They're about to talk about Hornets/Gordon

Bogut? Another highly paid, often injured player? Why?!
