Rumor Yahoo!: Hornets expected to keep Gordon

...and shop him during the offseason

    http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--nb...172638648.html

Update: Broussard just tweeted that Hornets have made Gordon available, but other teams are concerned about his health. Thanks for the update we've known for the last week, Broussard.

Sources: New Orleans has made Eric Gordon available for trade. Trade not likely though as clubs concerned about EG's health going forward.

That's exactly when they SHOULD move him. His veto power will be gone and that's when the Hornets can get the best deal for them, not for Gordon.

And This means he's good as gone before the deadline. Yahoo is garbage.

We might might as well start looking at highlights of Brandon Jennings, Tobias Harris and thinking about what we're going to do with that extra 1st round pick.

    Lol

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

Seems strange for the Hornets brass to operate leaking news on future plans that involve Eric Gordon, when its well documented of his fragile mindset/ego! I doubt yahoo's accuracy to this story even though EJ not being moved due to Dell not getting what he wants in return. But to say that they would move him in the off season isn't a good business strategy and surely not the way Tom Benson do business!

    -Just saying-

This gives Fletch more time to figure out his 13team block buster trade for the summer. I really hope Gordon can ball out and avg 25 the rest of the year just to see the fan reaction

Yes! I don't think I've ever been this excited about the trade deadline.

Demps and Monty have both said that we want players that WANT TO BE HERE. I'm not saying Y news is the Bible or anything, but if their "source" is true, then Gordon must have indicated to someone that he does not want to be here. I may be reaching but that is what I get out of it,

Ironically, the best way to make sure Gordon won't go anywhere is if he plays fewer games and makes no one take the risk of acquiring him. But if he blows up in the 2nd half and looks more like someone we wanna keep...then he becomes more tradeable.

Which'll make people jump to say "Why trade him?"

Either way. This year promises to continue being entertaining.

First, I recall Woj and Marc J. Spears breaking quite a bit of league news. Is that a general Yahoo is garbage or do you have specific reason to doubt Spears? Second, this was the comment about the Hornets in his weekly Power Ranking, if he were going for sensationalistic news fabrication it wouldn't be buried in his PRs.

It's not even close, Woj is the best and Spears is pretty good too.

I love Yahoo!'s sports coverage. I'm on that site constantly. Rarely go on ESPN.com.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

I know one thing for sure. Gordon won't be a Hornet next season.

Woj is great (probably the best) for breaking news. You will miss nothing if you ignore all his opinion articles, though.

Only because he'd be a Pelican.

Personally, I try to stay away from opinion articles because everyone's varies. Opinions are like, nevermind

Yeah if Woj said it 99% of the time it will happened. I do remember 1 time last year around the deadline he said something about us and it didn't happen. Can't remember who or what it was. But the guy is good.

maybe Hornets can use Gordon to trade up in the draft to get Shabazz

  25. #25
find it hard to believe that they can already predict what we're going to do this offseason.. my guess if that the hornets STILL have no intentions of trading him, he has no intentions of wanting out yet people will continue to read into the "My Heart is in Phoenix" comment and continuously say he's going to be traded every chance they get
